    Getting a new Expansion

I'm a little confused. Which Expansion pack came first? What quest packs does wach expansion include, if they include any? I'm sick of being stuck in Bree-land and the Lone lands!

To answer the question, the Expansion packs are as follows (in order)

    Mines of Moria

    Siege of Mirkwood

    Rise of Isengard

Riders of Rohan (released this September)

    Re: Getting a new Expansion

Note that NONE of those expansions will help you get out of Breeland and the Lonelands. Moria is level 50-60, Mirkwood is 60-65, Isenguard is 65 to 75, and Rohan will be level 75 to 85.

Expansions contain a quest pack plus other content; which content they contain depends on the expansion.

Now, you don't need to buy anything in order to go to the zone. You can travel to other zones (like the North Downs or Evendim or the Trollshaws) whenever you decide to run or ride there. You only need a quest pack if you want to do non-Epic quests and deeds in that zone once you arrive.

Which area quest packs does each expansion contain? I don't want to buy each one individually if I can get them in a pack, potentially cheaper than getting them individually.

Check out the chart linked in my signature. It shows all quest packs (except the newest one, Great River) and which ones come in which bundles and expansions (doesn't yet show the newest Steam or RoR-preorder bundles though).

    Re: Getting a new Expansion

See KualaBangoDango's chart for most of the possibilities. The recent stuff not yet in that chart is:

An additional level 75 region / quest pack, The Great River, is available free to VIPs or purchasable with TP for F2P/Premium players. It's not part of any current bundles unless you count a VIP subscription as a "bundle".

The Heroic Edition of Riders of Rohan includes the quest packs for Evendim, Moria, and Lothlórien (in addition, of course, to Rohan itself once it comes out in September). These extra packs are only with the Heroic Edition, not the less expensive Base Edition or more expensive Legendary Edition.

Im also new to the game. and love it and looking aroound for the best way for expantion pack.

but do i understand good. that the expantion pack Riders of Rohan includes the older packs? I didn't bought anyting yet, so the best thing for me is to buy Riders of Rohan.. and save money by skip buying everything saperatly.

or do i need to buy one at the time?

The Heroic Edition of it includes three (out of thirteen) previous quest packs, one of which is for an expansion area. There is no bundle that includes all of them.

A combination of a VIP subscription plus the Legendary Edition of Rise of Isengard gives all the content that's currently out, but would not include Rohan when it comes out in September. A combination of a VIP subscription, the Legendary Edition of Rise of Isengard, and any version of Riders of Rohan will give you everything that's out or planned for release this year.
