I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Wilson has outdone himself this weekend. He has an assortment of prime, aged auroch steaks in a variety of cuts. Gombur says to try them with the wine and mushroom sauce, and charred crust.
I finally had a decent nights sleep last night. Maybe I am no longer thinking back, but thinking ahead. I made a few tentative attempts at finding a non pharmacy job. I am going to look at something I can do from home, if possible. My main goal, once I move back, is to get myself back in fighting shape. If I can get my health in better shape, anything is possible.
Have a good day all, and thanks for the positive thoughts!

Good Morning Doc! Thanks for opening!
Good to hear you're starting to look ahead. And improved health is an awesome goal... one that I keep trying and falling short of! /resolve to start running again.
I'm up, and I have coffee. Good morning, Landrovalingas.

Love the positivity, Doc! *hugs*
There are a lot of things around here that I need to either do, or badger someone else to do. Sadly, I don't have much motivation today, so I have been running around Eregion gathering scholar mats instead. Hey, that's productive, right?

Yes Doc, anything is possible and know you have a cheering section rooting you on!
I had one of those interesting days yesterday. Seems I've developed back spasms. The Doctor said he's not sure what caused it and I said neither do I and I was there...
So this weekend, I am taking it at a snails pace and letting the pain pills knock me out for the most part. I was rather depressed by the numbers on the scale too. So Doc, you're not the only one who wants to kick it into gear and get healthier.
*Hugs and Muffins* but don't over do it.

Guess who's back? Well, sort of. Having to re-download the game due to an epic hard drive failure earlier this year, but I've been dusting off my account and making ready. I've missed Landroval!

*squee!* We missed you too! Welcome back!!

I've been up to so much lately; I'll have to tell you all about it sometime. Now it's just a matter of catching up and getting the game re-downloaded. They've probably changed Minstrel and Rune-Keepers so much that it will be like playing a whole different game. XD
Trying to post from my phone is going to be interesting. That's what I get for being in Alabama this weekend as penance for my sins apparently.
Anyway, I mostly wanted to say that I received an email Friday saying that the shirts have shipped.
Have a good weekend, folks.

woohoo!
That, plus a turtle brownie blizzard, and I'm having quite the nice evening...!
I've been being busy and productive for the past... has it been a week? Some series of days. Most of the stuff that's going to goodwill has gone (though there's still plenty for a last minute trip). All of my tools got packed into a couple flat rate boxes and shipped off too. I miss them already but they should be in the Great North by the time I get there. It's just a bit under two weeks before I make the trip up there for the final time. From the look of things now I'll actually have a span of days from the 18th-21rst where I'll just be in an effectively empty flat and I *could* make that final drive if need be. I just might if the shirts are here by then.
So that's the short-term standing. So far as the long-term goes, we've learned some things in the past couple days that illicit some alternatives but we're going to wait until after the move is complete to draw up a real plan of action. Of particular note though is a notion that might allow me to get to PAX after all while shaving 12-18 months off the PR thing. ^^
And in very other news, I watched Hugo the other night after remembering Welby's long-ago review of it. It was a very excellent thing so Thank You Mr. Welby for the excelsior suggestion. =)
I found my LOTRO discs, so I'm reinstalling from those rather than trying to download the entire game all over again. I'm hoping it might save me *some* small bit of time. I'm actually looking forward to getting back in the game and reconnecting with old friends.
(Quite randomly, I just noticed an "auto-save" feature on these forums... that's kind of nifty!)

Fight the Good Fight, Doc!
Sound a bit like some of the stories I hear of friends who leave their job to move on,..they always say it's like a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Waking up and realizing this day is yours.
Time pushes us all whether we like it or not,...may as well keep our eyes forward!

Welcome back! I was watching some E3 vids about Rohan and yep,..I will def be back for that,...though,..a Dwarf Horse-Lord does sound a bit weird hehe,..
They mentioned us doing a quest to get a Rohan Mount who 'happens' to be a distant relation to ShadowFax,...really?! Does it have to be ?! Why can't it just be a Rohan Horse?
I get the idea of 'making us all 'special', but jeez,.it doesn't work when everyone has it. And , imho, feeling like a hero comes from being ordinary and Doing extraordinary things,.but being Given extraordinary things.

I just saw Snow White & the Huntsman last night,...and I dunno,..maybe I was not in the 'mood',..but it's just meh. They had some good things going on , but they didn't take advantage of it.
And maybe I have just seen LotR too many times,..but well,...it's a tough act to try to follow when it comes to epic Fantasy
========
Yewooza,...not much to say other than I hope this parade( a blessing and a curse) ends soon so I can hear myself think again

No, it's not just you, Welby. I, too, thought Snow White and the Huntsman was less-than-stellar. It was by and large a pretty big disappointment. Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron absolutely stole that show; it would have been more apt to call it The Wicked Queen and the Huntsman. Kristen Stewart proved that she needs to stick to the Twilight franchise when it comes to acting. All she can do is make this one brainless, vapid face and her ONE moment to make an inspiring speech falls absolutely flat. She just has no passion in her acting.
Prometheus, on the other hand, my husband and I thought was completely fun. I'm not going to post any spoilers here, but you really do yourself a favor flying into this movie blind. We went in with no prior knowledge and no prior expectations and it was a really good show. The ending actually came as a surprise. Given the choice, I'd say spend the money on Prometheus before you ever, EVER spend it on Snow White and the Huntsman.

I still get a grin every so often from realizing I'll never have to show up at the old place of employment again. ^^

Forsooth, but more than that I believe the canon establishes pretty clearly that Shadowfax was the last of his bloodline. It was one of those particularly few things that Tolkien was somewhat more than vague on. They probably mean that our horse will be one of the Mearas (of which Shadowfax was the "chief") but that's still an exceedingly exclusive group. Tolkien Gateway seems to be lacking in this particular bit of lore, but from memory the Mearas were descended from the horses brought from Valinor by Orome. Those horses "mingled" with "mortal" horses and the result was the Mearas. Though the Mearas lived a lot longer than other horses, it's still been a couple Ages since Orome was running around Arda (openly anyway) and the bloodline has thinned considerably. Shadowfax may not have been the last Mearas (that point is arguable) but he was the last horse with a strong Mearas bloodline. Any of the other Mearas would have been so distantly related to him as to effectively not be considered relatives. He was das Uberhorse!

I figure I'll prolly make at least one more trip to the theater (if only to kill time) but at this point I'd ruled out that particular movie (on assumption of these same points). I think I've also ruled out Battleship on the assumption that Micheal Bay needs to ween himself off whatever drugs convinced him that gaudy special effects and actresses left on the burner for far too long were a substitute for narrative.

omg..I was chuckling in my seat at that part,...so sad.
I think the only part I thought she surprised me in was **SPOILER**** when she bit the apple
But, like you said,..CHarlez stole the show,.I wanted to see more about her and her brother and especially the old Duke's side.
The Dwarves were wasted...looks like we gotta hope for Peter Jackson's Dwarves to show'em how it's done!
I never seen those Twilite films,..so I was seeing Kristen's performance fresh,...that said,..it was exactly how I imagined it would be,.hehhee

Yep,...I was saving Prometheus for this coming week as I made plans with some friends.Looking forward to that one.

I watched the first two to see what all the fuss was about, and based solely on that experience I have to say that all memes are pretty close to my impression. I'm not sure if her face was full of muscle relaxants or if it's another case of terrible directing preventing an actor from acting, but either way she beats Nicholas Cage at his own game of constantly looking like they've just been slapped by a trout.

I was considering Prometheus but I've been told I'm waiting to see it till I see it with Alditha. =P I'm thinking I'll prolly watch Avengers a second time.

I don't personally, but I'm amused they actually turned it into a movie. =P
I tried isolating just exactly what it was that the Japanese were doing better in their mecha-themed narratives but I'm still not exactly sure what it is. I was going to say that they don't tend to forget pesky things like physics in anime, but that's a generalization and far from a hard and fast rule. There probably isn't any one particular factor, but I suspect, at the moment, it may have something to do with a cultural factor or two like Japanese adoring robots and complex narratives. In any event, I don't suppose it's much relevant to any particular thing. =P
