I've dug through the forums for an answer to this and haven't found one. Possibly a blue-name can answer this for me?
Does anyone know if the Audacity cap is going to be bumped up with the expansion along with new Freep set pieces or audacity items introduced? I'm assuming we'll just be using our current audacity sets once we hit level cap until they expand this later down the road. I would never expect this to be fit into their primary x-pac agenda, but hey, it's worth a shot to ask...

From what I have read in the past, audacity will go up in future patches & or expansions. Read the Q & A with Aaron Campbell, seems they plan on "reworking" the moors for RoR. That could be very interesting.
Besides the various pacing changes Audacity brings to PvMP, it is an opportunity to create a seasonal rotation. Veteran players will be able to rank their Audacity higher and higher, while the potency of low rank Audacity will keep new players viable.
At some point in the future, likely the next expansion, we will increase the max Audacity rank. The bonuses that Audacity grants will then be re-distributed so that the new max rank provides the same defense bonuses the old max rank did. New PvMP gear with +2 Audacity will be made available for Freeps, and Creeps will be able to purchase past rank 7. Lastly, we will balance the defense values at the now lower ranks to provide enough potency to stay viable. This should make entering the Ettenmoors for new players easier, while providing ample advancement opportunities to veteran players!

So, the way I read this, if I have 7 audacity now - which gives me -30% incoming damage (among other bonuses) - and they raise the audacity cap to say, 13, my incoming damage modifier will drop to -15% and I'll have to pick up the new pieces to get back up to -30%?
Or, does this mean that -30% incoming damage will remain the defense cap at audacity rank 7, and then there will possibly be an additional bonus such as +incoming healing % or something else that will start gaining once you hit 8 audacity, capping at the new max rank audacity?

Wish I had an answer for that. But it's pretty obvious that Creeps are meant to be pigeon-holed and funneled into the store for advancement. They've gotta make huge money off of the F2P folks that just play Creepside, otherwise the CEO and top executives of WB would be installing ruby encrusted diving boards into their pools instead of diamond encrusted diving boards. We have to save them from this misery. Think of their children.....

The grind for audacity isn't near as bad for freeps plus they're nowhere near as dependant on it.

Actually it is worse. Creeps will have half of their audacity and level to 85 at the start of ROR. Freeps will have to level up to 85 and then regrind all their audacity. Armor 10 levels below will only add to the imbalance at the start of ROR, so most freeps will not be using the level 75 audacity gear. Add to that the questing while the freeps are leveling should get most creeps at least another 3 - 4 audacity before the freeps come back to the moors and yeah... creeps actually benefit for a change here.
But then again no one really benefits from the grind turbine has put into place yet again.... oh coming to a store near you buy a level of audacity...... you know its coming right?

I actually agree with everything you've said! First of all yeah it would be depressing if freeps had to use under-level gear (10 lvls lower), in order not to lose audacity, even if it was for a small period of time.

Well, I use these forums because I enjoy using these forums. Seeing people complain, QQ, and watch Turbine ignore creeps again and again amuses me.
Turbine can feel free to ban me for talking about it. Although they have already started with some accounts.

For existing creeps currently at max audacity, yes they're halfway there. For new creeps, it's an even larger gap.
Remember what they did with the level 65 armor? They made it so you could use it as barter pieces towards the 75 plus a few stones. Much cheaper overall. I can see this happening with the current audacity gear as well.

Its because they have no clue about how to play their classes, and all they do is log to MP forum and starting threads like 'nerf this!, nerf that! umadbro?' If all those ppl have spent in-game (on their classes) HALF of the time they QQ on forum, then we would have so much better pvp in lotro.
But no! lets post how awesome GW will be ofc! *we ll be here 2 months later anyways, exactly like what happened with SWTOR, so we can continue posting how terrible this game's pvp is*

What creep classes and ranks are they?
The inbalance is huge, no matter what people say its huge, we shall have to fet 8 more Audacity, thats a grind for all the lower levels is it not? i hope they revise the comms costs for everything else.
Plus i think freeps should have less Audacity, keep them at 7 and rank us to 15, we need the help, our heals are underpar, our DPS is by no way even with freeps, and most freeps have epic burst DPS, that or self heals, or both. The grind will get worse as will the pvp enviroment.
Plus its very very easy to grind comms on freep side its however difficult on creep side, depending on rank of course.
As for the GW2 comments, i agree it should be stopped but its a huge game thats gonna rip a huge hole in LOTRO plus a few others, but i have seen your play style and youll do just fine killing rank 2s :-D

Not sure what Wardens are like on your server but on Evernight there is one called Ceom who has typically immense survivability for a Warden but does a hell of alot of damage at the same time. Not spike damage like an RK or Minstrel would do, but he can out-dps higher ranked BAs from range.

You all have hijacked the thread and twisted it into something completely different. Are minstrels overpowered in the Moors? Are wargs overpowered in the Moors? Do they deal with balance issues in the Moors by making some classes super awesome and then nerfing them later down the road and then make other classes super awesome? Blah blah blah blah blah??? As for the having no clue, i have both on freep and creep side higher ranked chars than you. Despite the game imballance, i actually tried to play my chars, instead of being a whiny little b**** on the forum.

As i replied to one of your posts on warden forum, most of the creep classes, cannot die from a shield traited warden if they are experienced. Explain me how is that OP.
Last time i was on creep some1 shouted in ooc 'need help warden near slugs in grams. I mapped there to see 6 creeps fighting a shield traited warden that would not drop any morale. I died laughing first, then replied 'back off and let the BA range him down' guess what...he died! ... nah we sure used exploits! Those ppl that were pressing 1 2 3 and wondering why the warden's morale would not drop, come on forum and complain that wardens are OP. Im deeply sorry that i dissagree!
