Voddie Fellbane here, of the Fallohides if it should interest you. On my mother's side. I played Gilrain for three and a bit years, then took a long break of about 6-12 months during which time I was teaching Wilderness Survival in Canada. The fact that I'm British and so in a foreign country, in the middle of nowhere at that, meant that having an internet connection was futile.
So, I came back and upon seeing the beloved kinship on Gilrain I was in unrecognisable with my friends either quit the game or gone elsewhere I decided on a change of scenery. Enticed by the name and it's youth, I chose Crickhollow and started my very first minstrel.
I am currently at the tail end of Moria and about to go into Lothlorien. I have come to you, my community, to ask you for help in two respects:
1. I am struggling to find any reliable way to improve my abilities as a minstrel. My kinship, I love them to bits, but they are all lower level and new to the game so it often falls to me to provide advice and the such. Unfortuantely, that means I have nowhere really to go for my advice. It would be great if there was a minstrel out there willing to get in touch with me and give me pointers and the likes. I have tried just doing loads of PUGs since practice makes perfect but often they just make it more difficult for me to learn. Champs running in first ahead of Guardians, taking 4 mobs and then shouting at me when they die. That sort of thing. Not helpful, not for this little hobbit.
2. Many of the instances have changed a lot in the time I've been away, not to mention the rest of the game. PUGs often fall to bits or have less idea than I do, so I was wondering if there was a group out there who regularly do instances who would be willing to bring me along and teach me the ropes? I can reward you in my healing services (for what that's worth) or in coin.
Hopefully I can learn the new instances and such and then help my kinnies with their very first groupings and the likes
If you're interested in helping me in any way then hit me up in game with a mail or an IM Or, even if you're not, drop me a line anyway because every stranger is a friend waiting to be made!
That's all from me, folks - have a wonderful day and I hope you get lots of good loot and have great fun!
