My problem is that i used to play lotro about 2 years ago & i have forgotten the password for the account & for me to recover it the email i use is blocked for some reason & i was wondering is they anyway i can change my password with my security question instead?
assuming your account is with turbine and not codemasters then you need to contact turbine support either by phone or by raising a ticket

If you are over-seas and dont want to pay for international calling, you can always use Google Voice or Skype.
If you are in Europe, there is a fair chance that your account was with CodeMasters. If so, then that account is gone if it was not migrated last year. Do you remember what server you played on?
sorry to be the barer of bad news but Gilran was one of the former EU servers run by codemasters, if you did not migrate your account between may\june and november 2011 you will no longer be able to access any of your old characters or anything associated with your EU lotro account. codemasters sent out numerous emails informing everybody the service was closing down and advising them to migrate their accounts to the new global service if they wanted to contune playing lotro
if you migrated your account to turbine during the migration period you will need to logon to lotro using the new account created during the migration.
IF you migrated your account and have simply forgotten the account details and no longer have access to your email turbine support can help
okay, i think i migrated it because i remember the log in name & when i try and recover password its valid so perhaps i did, the only problem is that i cant access the email that the new password would be sent to which is sort of annoying.
I have sent turbine a ticket with my problem and i haven't heard from them as of yet.
My ticket has been read and i have received a reply, it looks as if that i did merge my account because they have asked for the details of the account so they can change the password for me and right now i'm just waiting for a reply of support.
