Thread: LOTRO Steam Version Desktop Icon

I uninstalled the original LOTRO client that isn't from Steam. I then installed the game from Steam. The game works fine! However, the only thing I've noticed that is different is that the desktop icon is no longer a ring. It's just a boring piece of paper! I'm guessing that this is normal, but I'd like to hear from others who downloaded LOTRO through Steam as well.

You can easily change it, its just what steam have been given as the default icon.

right click the icon
choose web document tab
click change icon

Then you navigate to the lotro folder in steam and find something suitable

Yes thank you for this, I remembering doing something like this a while ago but just forgot how to do it! Good thing google picked up this post, dunno why steam hasn't done this yet considering they display lotro on the front page of the f2p genres...

Or you can google some LOTR or LOTRO icon pic and just change to it xD
