My account getting full bugged???
Hi, i have a big problem with my account, at first my alt got bugged, and today my main character got one too. I sent bug reports from my alt, but they don't seem to interested in it.
When i made my alt, at first it was for the space only, so i did nothing with it for a long time. Than i wanted to join with it to my kin, but got the message: i can't be invited, because i didn't finished the introduction quests.I checked it on lotro-wiki, i did all of them, so i don't know what is the problem. Then i thought at least i will wax the reputations, and get some TP with it, but that is bugged too, the reputation isn't in the deed log, and i didn't get the 50 TP for maxing the mathom.
With my main char, today i finished the vol.I. book 11 chapter 9 quest (finding the Sara Oahkeart diary), and went to Riwendell with the next quest, but as i got the second part (get back the gems from the goblins),it wasn't marked on the map, and there wasn't that little arrow before the quest in the tracker, what indicates i'm on that quest. I removed it, than put back on tracker, but remaind the same, than i opened my bags, and there was the diary. The interesting is, when i finished the diary quest, i got the message "item removed". I don't know if its one bug or a separate, but still a bug.
So if anyone can help me with these bugs, or can make the staff to work on it, i would be really happy, because its 2 char from the 3 i have, so i'm geting a little nervous. Thank you

Re: My account getting full bugged???
The problem you have with your alt that says they didn't finish the introduction is usually caused by not talking to the correct person once you leave the tutorial instance. Make sure you go back to the start area where you entered the real game world at (Archet for humans, Little Delving for hobbits, etc) and check to make sure you didn't skip talking to the main guy there (The Brackenbrook son for Archet, etc.).
You'll know you completed the intro correctly after talking to the person because that's when you get your map to waypoint skill, thank you mail with trade-in tokens, and I think the levelling gift box (not sure on that one). If you check your alt and he doesn't have those things then you haven't talked to the correct guy yet to "complete" the intro.
As for the rest of your bugs I can't say...sorry.New Player? Check out this chart for Quest Pack access for different accounts/purchases. http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...10#post5778210

Re: My account getting full bugged???
As for the second problem, the questarrow not showing...
it happens on some quests, this might well just be one of them.
Unless this is happening for ALL your quests, don't worry about it.
As for the alt not getting his deed and stuff,
it seems you haven't got the Novice passive skill, so the game still
thinks you are inside the intro zone. You might try to find the spot
where you exit the intro instance, there should be an NPC near that
gives you the Novice skill.
Though I have heard reports from people exiting the intro the wrong
way and thereby losing access to said skill...
Good luck on finding the problem...

Re: My account getting full bugged???
First of all, thanks for the perlys, thanks to those i came to this conclusion:
Good news for my alt: i think i know what is the problem, the bad news is: that’s still a bug i think
I checked the sites here about this topic, and searched the wiki too. The results are:
1.I really didn’t do a quest in the intro, but it wasn’t my failure, the game skipped it
2.That quest gives the novice skill, and the milestone, so you get it IN the introduction, not after!!!!!!!!!!
3.Because it’s in the introduction, i can’t go back and do it
The quest is: Intro: The Storm is Upon Us, and it’s the part of the intro questchain.
http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Quest...orm_is_Upon_Us
http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Introduction_Quests
In the intro quests you get the last 4 from Jon Brackenbrook:
[5] Intro: Into the Shadow
[5] Intro: A Slender Hope
[5] Intro: The Storm is Upon Us
[5] Instance: The Assault on Archet
I checked my completed quests, and there are all the other 3 from him (and all the other intro quests, even the optionals), i miss just that one. So how is it possible to do a quest without completing the prerequisite quest??? Because i have the last one too!!!
So if a GM sees this post, fix it for me please, thanks
P.S.: And now i go back to play with my main char, to see, if the tracker will be good at the next quest

Re: My account getting full bugged???
After you leave the Instance you visit Jon again.that is after you leave the intro area, and in the main world (I think that is who you see) that should complete the intro, then you get a mail. That is what has the rewards. I don't think it's possible to delete the mail, but if it was left unchecked for that 2weeks it may delete itself.
So it may be possible you didn't visit Jon, but if you did grab the thank you note in the mail, and have the blue gift box, then you have completed. So in conclusion, if you have blue gift box, possible you're bugged , if no Blue Gift box, you missed somethingLast edited by Simsiim2; Jun 09 2012 at 12:21 PM.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
Do you think that the letter deleted itself??? Otherwise it doesn't seems possible, couse you can't come out of Intro-Archet until you speak with Jon, so that is out of question.
But still, i made it for space, so i don't think i could leave it alone for 2 weeks :/
But if that's the case, how can i solve it?
P.S.: i can't check it with the gift box, because i made it for space, so i sold everything what was needless, or throw it out (and you can't throw out the skill after opening the letter)Last edited by Plazamano; Jun 09 2012 at 01:43 PM.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
well that would be hard to tell, I'm pretty sure the intro is not completed till after you leave the Intro Instance, and see Jon again. I Doubt the not having the gift box is causing your issue, was just saying you would know if you have completed it if you have the Blue Gift box, But as you said you deleted everything to make room, so there is no way to tell.
I'm looking at one of my characters I had started, and see if I see anything different in the quest log. Be right back and update if I see anything
ETA: I can't see any thing different in quest, not in the quest log anyways
Something that KualaBangoDango said, you may want to see, is did you get your Milestone return Icon ? If you have, then we know for sure you completed the IntroLast edited by Simsiim2; Jun 10 2012 at 02:50 AM.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
A bit more info would be helpful
1. Where is your alt at now? If it's in Archet, can you actually leave and go to Combe?
2. Do you have access to a mailbox?
3. Do you have the milestone skill? (It would be in your skills panel (press K) under the active tab there you should find a section that says Milestone Skills).
4. Do you have the novice skill? (It would be in your skills panel (press K) under the passive tab there you should find a section called Misc. Passive Skills).★ª"˜¨¨★ª"˜¨¨ ¯¯¨¨˜ª¤.¸`*•.¸*•¸★☆★ LOTRO ★☆★¸•*¸.•*´¸.¤ª˜¨¨¯¯¨¨˜"ª★¨¨˜"ª★

Re: My account getting full bugged???
1. First i was in Little Delving, then went to Michel Delving to the vault, i was in Archet too to check what can i do, and now i'm in Bree (vault), and was even in Hobbiton, maxed the farming
2. Yes i have, i mailed things to this alt many times
The problem:
3. No skill
4. I'm a Newbie
So i think SimSiim2 has right, somehow the problem is with the missing letter, if it is possible, to get out with the last quest, and get the letter later.
P.S.: I'm certain that i did the instance in the end of the introLast edited by Plazamano; Jun 10 2012 at 05:00 AM. Reason: P.S.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
Well you certainly did the instance as it is the only way to get out of the intro. I wonder what your log of completed quests looks like. Tick your completed quests selection in quest log and look under introduction section, you should see a range of quests from level 1 to 5. The instance would be the assault on archet quest instance, and the final quest in the intro line is called the strom is upon us, which upon completion will bestow you the milestone skill and novice status (novice status indicates you have completed the intro). The quest before the final one is into the shadow. Also check if you have unfinished quests listed under introduction. If that selection does not exist, all intro quest should be under completed quests.
The quest progression should go: talk to Jon -> get "the storm is upon us" quest -> talk to Jon -> enter "assault on archet" instance -> complete instance -> talk to Jon -> get ported to game world -> talk to Jon -> "the storm is upon us" will complete and give you the quest rewards.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
In my memory, the alts created both before F2P and from launch of F2P until the first patch did not get the boxes thing in letter, only the barter tokens for the that pocket speed item. But it still came into the letter, and it did not require one to complete intro quest line and get "novice" skill. Of course, being letter, it meant if you didnt pick it up in 2 weeks, your letter got deleted. Or you did delete it to make space. With so much time gone, its now impossible to tell, what exactly happened.
Now, the quest info should have your intro quest unfinished, unless you did cancel it. So, depending on your race, you should try go to your starter area and look. Elves, its a lady on the water edge downriver from docks, for hobbits, its Mungo Sakwille-baggins in Little Delwing (not Michel Delwing). humans get it from John Brockenbrock, and Dwarves have their from dwarf near entrance to Thorin's hall, right next to mailbox. Elf and hobbit are easy to skip if you jsut rush forward, as usually theres little incentive to return to the spots once you left.
If the quest is canceled, then basically that alt is /censored/ .Yu can try live with it as it is now, or delete and create new one. If its a storage mule , it wont be too much of a loss.Last edited by Hatter_of_Bree; Jun 10 2012 at 08:58 AM.

Thank you, Turbine, for listening and giving us an opt-out of FE! Good work!

Re: My account getting full bugged???
Checking the unfinished quests was the first i did, but there wasn't a quest. I have all the other quests finished, the only one what is missing, is: [5] Intro: The Storm is Upon Us
So i still have the missing quest, out of log, and the letter-revard for it.
I was several times back in Little Delving, even did some of the Prologue quests, so i didn't miss that little guy
starting with:
http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Ques...%27s_Complaint
Conclusion: i just need that letter with the novice and milestone skills, i don't even need the other things, my alt would travel only between Hobbiton (farming) and the bank (kihouse, vault)
And i hope i don't need to live with it or delete it, because i maxed the vault, farming and Mathom (for mathom i still waiting the 50 TP )
P.S.: is it possible, that the letter was deleted with a patch?Last edited by Plazamano; Jun 10 2012 at 10:52 AM. Reason: P.S.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
If you started your alt several years ago, and never finished the intro, you might want to consider simply deleting that character and creating a new one.
After Free-to-Play was introduced, new characters receive some starting goodies, most notably, a gift box with useful items and quests (at levels 20 and 30) which reward TP.
You might also want to play the character up to level 10. At that point it is eligible for entry into Lottery draws.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
Well the issue is either the letter or the not talking to the last guy. If you don't want to delete and redo him your only option is to get help from Turbine.
Be as precise as you can without going into the character story (it just confuses the problem) such as:
I am out of the beginning instance and do not have my milestone, novice skill or the quest "The Storm is Upon Us".★ª"˜¨¨★ª"˜¨¨ ¯¯¨¨˜ª¤.¸`*•.¸*•¸★☆★ LOTRO ★☆★¸•*¸.•*´¸.¤ª˜¨¨¯¯¨¨˜"ª★¨¨˜"ª★

Re: My account getting full bugged???
agree with doing this ^^^^
I thought I would start a new race of man character to see if it was possible to not receive the rewards and such.
It is not, if you Visit Jon, after you leave the Intro Instance. I received the Novice and Milestone, and a letter of thanks. The mail has nothing to do with advancing that I could see, just quest rewards.
There is a timer on the mail, but again that reward is just that reward (gift box, letter to start crafting and a letter of thanks that gets you tokens).
So you either missed seeing Jon (if Race of Human) or the one for the Hobbits (if Hobbit), or yes you truly are bugged on the Alt.
Too lazy to scroll through again and see you did mention that you have visited these NPC's or not, but you may want to, just as a double check. Those are the NPC's that complete quest: The Storm is Upon Us

Re: My account getting full bugged???
It is also possible, though unlikely, that quest versioning has caused the trouble. Going like, you originally forgot to finish the quest, then Turbine did some work on the quest and recreated it same name but new quest entry; thus they deleted the old quest with the standard announcement "quest X has been versioned, those with active quests must speak with quest bestower to receive it again." Of course, this quest is bestowed inside starter instance only, and you are outside...
Anyway, it seems that support is your best bet to fix this. The quest SHOULD be either incomplete in your log or complete, as it is impossible to finish the starter area without receiving it, but as it is missing entirely, something's gone wrong somewhere.

Re: My account getting full bugged???
I believe you got into this situation because Turbine modified the starter experience several times. In the process some characters got screwed up. The problem is that Turbine development will change the game so that new characters can not get hung up.
Existing characters will have to be fixed by the Game Masters. You need to use the ingame support ticket for this problem. Only VIP or Premium accounts during the support period have access to the Game Masters. If you do not have access to the Game Masters or you can't get a Game Master to fix it, you have to live with the issue or delete the character and start over to get your milestone skill and Novice trait.
I doubt fixing the issue for existing characters is a high priority since it takes at most one hour to get a character thru the starter experience. Even when Turbine decides fix a game bug, it takes a long time. Some of the bugs I have reported have take 12-18 months. Six months or more is normal.
Turbine does not fix as lot of stuff in 3 months or less. Turbine does an update every 3 months or so. What seems to happen is that I report a bug. Turbine is one month into the 3 months for this update. Bag is full. The bug get assigned to the next update which is five months from now. Or maybe two updates 8 months from now.Last edited by Yula_the_Mighty; Jun 15 2012 at 09:35 AM.
