Hi guys i need some help, does anyone know any tips for leveling fast? I leveled up to level 14 yesterday but it took me about three days to get past level 13. I play about an hour every day but i'm leveling really slowly.
An hour a day is not a ton of time but here are a few things I try to keep in mind if I want to level fast.
1) TASKS - if you are doing quest that have you killing mobs make sure you loot everything. Learn what is good for Tasks as they can give you some extra XP along the way.
2) Cluster Your Quest - what I mean by this is make sure you have about as many quest for an area as you can find and know what must be done. If you have a quest to kill 10 boars and another quest to kill 15 boars at the same time you may as well have them over lap if you are low on playing time.
3) Kill 'em All - you see a mob that +/- 5 levels of you, don't go around him. Kill him! (don't forget to loot for TASKS)
4) Keep an eye on bonus XP. If you only play for an hour watch how much bonus xp you get from mob kills.
5) Pocket items that grant +25% xp from kills - while it sometimes stinks to not have a pocket item that helps your stats, if you follow my step 3 then having this one adds up quick.
Sounds easy but I often find myself just doing the minimum for quest and don't utilize my time well.
My tip is: dont do quests that are out of your levelrange.
For instance six levels over your charakters level. You dont earn that much more ep and its very hard to manage.
If something is to hard, dont bother. Go on doing something else.
But if you play one hour per day for three days and you are lvl 14 thats 100% normal in my opinion.
Leveling grows expotentaily. So it takes more and more to reach each level. So assuming you stay 1 hour a day, leveling will take longer and longer. When I need to fast level a toon I fight and only do quest in the yellow to red range. More bang for teh kill/complettion. This requires purp/teal gear/bling that is nor more than 3 levels below your level. I aslo stick to just the Epic line as the epic line rewards a a notch better. White/blue and green mobs/quests are just time wasters in a fast level. There are various items in the Turbine store you can buy that will assit with a fast level.
Downside to fast leveling is you deeds and virtues are going to suck. Also, class deeds/quests may need to be re-visited. You will have virtually no rep anywhere losing the benefits in various regions.
Good suggestions; you could also try fellowing. It's a good way to finish quests and get xp fast. I'd say fellow when you can. I'm a LM and soloing is kind of hard for me and it takes ages, so fellowing definitely helps there.

Ask on OOC if someone can craft you some L14 armor and a decent weapon. You'll be amazed how quick you level when you have the right gear.
The real xp is in Quests - if you are not doing several/hour (or more), then yes, you'll level slowly (and some areas/chains just don't seem to cooperate). Be sure to look around and talk to all local quest-givers before charging off on just one at a time.

I'd qualify this statement - if the mobs are grey/green/aqua, you might want to ignore any but the minimum for the quest (or Deed) - the xp is just too low. Otoh, if they mobs are in the yellow/orange (and you're kicking them), then milk them.
Blue is just under your level, white is at your level. Red is a danger-color for a reason, and purple is usually just trouble

If you are NEW to the game or even the class you are playing aqua MOBs are not bad. You get some EXP and you get something more important, PRACTICE. You have to know what you are doing before you can really do anything efficiently.
Also if you are new those grey, green aqua MOBs do drop loot which can be used for tasks or vendored for cash. A first character on a new server money is not a small thing.
While I agree 100% with what you say, I have to object to your quibble. The OP asked nothing about "practice" or "making money", but about leveling. My post was in the context of the OP, nothing more, and as such I suggest it was spot-on for this context of this thread. If you want to give (relevant*) advice outside the context of the OP, that's fine, but don't critique someone else because they didn't, thanks.
(* Not appropos of M's post, but I find that a lot of people on these boards give responses that ignore the OP entirely, either answering questions that were never asked or ignoring limitations expressly given in the OP. Odd. Perhaps a comment on the public education system, perhaps people just need to read more closely.)
But in follow-up to my response to the OP, also make sure the quests are color-appropriate! If you're mopping up old quests and doing grey or gree quests, you'll make very little XP compared to blue/white quests (with aqua being in the middle).
(If you're trying to do blue/white (or yellow/above) and dieing (or just running away a lot), then your gear is below par. If you're relying 90% on drop loot (or, worse, if you don't bother with crafting at all and are relying 100%), you're gimping yourself. At least hire someone or buy something from the AH. But that's a diff discussion.)
C-Hound it was in no way a personal attack or an attack on your info. If anything it was an addendum to your info.
Collecting items for tasks while making a bit of cash both furthers the leveling through tasks and gives you a bit of change for incidentals along the way.
What you said is absolutely fine but in this particular forum section I tend to assume folks are new and just haven't a clue how to work the system so I figure more info is good.
Guys it's ok you both give good advice and yes I am fairly new and Mirarian you're right every time i kill an orc i loot the money and C-Hound you're right low level quests give you about a quarter of the XP thank you all.
