Re: Wardens and perceptions, perhaps truth to the lies?
My biggest issue is not the current state of the warden but the time and number of iterations it took to get here. Pre-RoI I was very happy where my warden was and was excited to hit 75 using our buffed aggro gen (aggression) and other tools like BM. Once I got there I did not like the situation. I've lost track of dates, but didn't it take over 6 months to get the second update of the class to put wardens in their current "viable" state. I think that situation led to some of the current glff type opinions that wardens are ####, or rekindled old bias toward the class. That doesn't mean they are right, but I hope the same scenario doesn't pan out in RoR.
I heard a rumor heavies were going to 75% mits and medium armor was going to 45%
Re: Wardens and perceptions, perhaps truth to the lies?
I see no reason why the warden should not have crazy DPS. As has been stated time and time again the warden has always been an advanced class, with particularly intensive a play style needed in order to play it well. There simply is no payoff for a person to invest time and energy into mastering the warden in DPS mode, if all it can accomplish is sub-par damage.
Like Bramor said, we do not want to further expend time and energy leveling a new class, particularly when we purchased or began the warden with the impression that it could not only function as a competent tank, but also had enough versatility to fill in as whatever else was needed.
Now the warden is still not up to par with guardians, particularly with raid level bosses that hit hard enough to make even our increased mits ineffective, but in a DPS role are utterly substandard, particularly in comparison to hunters and champions.
