So currency exchange rates mean nothing to Turbine?

I only started playing LOTRO last week, yet I've seen enough of free playing life and wanted more, I wanted everything that Turbine had released for the game, such as the Rise Of Isengard and Rider Of Rohan expansions and all of the quest packs, yet I only ever saw prices in USD, and living in Britain, this created a problem for me. I went online to search for exchange rates for USD to GBP, and saw that the prices weren't that bad, for example, the $49.99 needed for the Legendary Rise Of Isengard was only £32 and I thought that wasn't that bad, so I asked me parents to set up a new bank account to pay for the expansions, aswell as a year membership, which worked out at £64 instead of the $99.99 (though I realise that this is only a temporary offer, and I dread to see what the prices are like after it!). Yet when I went on the store and chose the British options, I find that they are all more expensive? The expansions are several pounds more expensive and the membership is also like this. I though that £64 was dodgey enough, but I don't understand why the price stands at £80? Why are we British folk having to pay more than American customers? Why is there a need to drain our money more that American players? I honestly don't understand why Turbine have pushed up the price on everything in the British store and perhaps you could give me a valid reason to why it is like this? But to be honest, I don't think I'll accept anything you have to say to me. Quite frankly I'm dissapointed that you are determined to squeeze more money from Tolkien's own countrymen.

European players are required to pay the VAT tax. This is not calculated in USD pricing.
