Thread: I want to role-play

Hi all!

I'm writing this post because I want to start again in lotro, but this time, role playing. I remember when I started playing MMORPGs years ago and I started only for roleplay. It was great and i've never had that feeling again. Since I started playing without rp, all games became the same... boring.. doing quests without any sense.

I want to create a new character in this server and I would love to find some people who likes rp and play together. I don't care about the level. I just want to start meeting people to create my adventure with more motivation. I don't want to play together all the time. I just want to know who likes role-playing and their ingame names or kinships
As you can see, my english is not perfect cause i'm still learning, but i'll try to learn more everyday so we can comunicate without strange mistakes :S

and... i'm from Europe. Can I play in good conditions in this server?

Landroval is a great server with a lot of RPers. But it is also a server that has a lot more North-Americain players than EU players.

Laurelin is a great server, it is also the only dedicated RP server (so no weird kin or character name like XXXuberbladeXXX or Ihealalot, as an enforced server rule). It is also an European server, with a sizable british/scandinavian/italian/spanish/belgien/dutch (etc etc) population, so even though almost all public chat are conducted in English, I'm assuming that people might be more forgivong if English is not your native tongue there.

But when it really comes down to it, whether Landroval would be a good fit for you really depends on your time zone and playing time.

For example, if you live in... let's say, Copenhagen, and you play mostly in the eveninig (7pm-11pm), that would be 1pm-5pm in East coast and 10am to 2pm in west coast of North America. So Landroval would be rather quiet at your play time, and a rather bad fit as a server for you. But Laurelin would be at its peak hours by then, and there will be a lot of RP events going on.

However, if you play mainly on say... 3AM-7AM Copenhagen time, Landroval would be at its peak time and would be ideal for you, but Laurelin will be pretty dead by then.

Thank you very much for your answer. .. Yes then Landroval is ideal for me. The playing time it depends on my job.. i'm in changes right now xD.. but i guess landroval is the best option for me. Thank you again.
