    Not my first rodeo

Just wanted to say hello from a long time mmo player.

I just love this game so far (lvl19) and can't believe I put off trying it out for so long!

I guess I just had a bad taste in my mouth for Tolkien based games after trying many throughout the years only to be left with bitter dissapointment. I have a special place in my heart for the Middle Earth theme and just assumed this game would piss me off even more.

So yea I was wrong and I'm having a blast. The storyline quests really add to the whole atmosphere of the game and I find myself very much engaged with the leveling process. Most games I've played it feels like a race to the top so you can finally play the game. In LotRO I am not in any hurry at all to level for some reason. I'm just having fun exploring the world and being happily surprised with what they've done creating tolkiens world.

Really so far the only thing that bothers me is the directional momentum during a jump/spin move which prevents a smooth kiting techniques. I'm sure I will get over it soon enough.

Anyhow. Thanks for a very cool game, I'm glad I gave it a chance.

    Re: Not my first rodeo

Welcome to Lotro and nice first post.

If you're F2P at level 19 -you should still have loads of great game content ahead of you.
I've been playing for nearly a year now and, like you, feel no need to rush to the end.
I have four characters between levels 22-45, so I've done the low-end stuff four times now and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

If you decide to Buy Turbinepoints (or earn them in-game for free) I'd highly recommend 'Evendim' for your next area (level 30-40 range) I'm sure very few players would disagree.
