Thread: Applying a different version of RoR to an account with RoR standard already on it.

As the title said if In future I want to buy the legendary version when it eventually goes on sale or is lowered in price but already own RoR will I be able to apply this to my account? As a related aside why doesn't lotro have the option to upgrade to different versions after the fact like other games?

Usually you can talk to account-services directly about a cross-grade if you give them a call.

..This might be tricky this time as the top tier doesnt have the stuff in the medium teir.

I'm sure this is exactly the reason they did this. Trying to get people to buy more than one pack. Can't get greedier than that.

why on earth would you want to do it that way when for much less you will be able to buy the missing bits and pieces in the Store for much Less TP.

I doubt the cosmetics / cloaks will be in the store.

If you refer to the hauberk/armor difference, know that the armor given in Legendary edition is a set of armor made out of 5 pieces, one of which is the hauberk. So in essense the Heroic edition doesnt give helmet, shoulders, gloves and boots.

If you do not refer to that, can you explain what you mean?

The level 20 cloaks have a different look to the lv 75 ones which come with the legendary version. Basically my question was because at some point in the fairly distant future I will want to pick up the legendary version for the cosmetic stuff when it drops down in price.

Legendary edition doesnt include quespacks and the lvl 20 cloaks. The cloaks have different cosmetic design than lvl 75 ones (which is a pain).

The cloaks are preorder bonuses and they will never be available again (if they work as previous pre-orders).

Well yes thats true but no cosmetics by any streatch of the Imagination is worth spending an extra 40 to 70 dollars on.
Or even 20 to 35 dollars asuming a half of sale at some point.
The lack of Real content already makes this ExPac over priced.

The Level 20 stat cloaks are worthless my level 20 to 30 already have better
the level 75 cloacks may be worth while for a day until the new content drops and crafed ones come available in game.
