Thread: Returning player..

Just wondering if anyone can give me some info, im thinking of returning to lotro, but want to know if my characters will still exist... I just realised my turbine account info is still valid but yea, will my toons be there if i download the game?
I played for about 4 months from launch if that helps

Yes, they will be there assuming you remember your account and password. Turbine has never deleted accounts/characters unless the holder of an account has behaved so aggregiously that they've been perma-banned.

A lot has changed and improved, so I hope you enjoy your return. The world should feel very new to you again.

Ahh, wait one ....

If you are a returning Codemaster's player your account was eligible for transfer from Codemasters to Turbine, but that system is now closed. In which case, you will be starting over. Sorry about that.

Then as you are not an ex-Codemaster account holder, you should be fine.

Since your characters are on E, we can confirm that they will still be there. However, you should assume that pretty much everything has changed since you've been gone. They've done major revamps of most classes, added several major game systems, and basically affected everything.

Try going slowly at first, re-reading all your skills and traits and items. Especially your character sheet; they've changed the way primary stats affect your performance!

If you look under the "Search" box at the upper right, you can click the "Characters" tab.
Then, look in the upper-left of the characters page and you'll see pull-downs for all the servers you have characters on.
(They can be hard to spot if you're not looking for them).

Not that long ago, they would have shown up with all their gear and everything, but that's
been broken for a bit now. But you'll be able to see their levels and major stats. Nice
to be able to visit with them when you can't load the game...
