Thread: sometimes we need to remember that this is just a game

Last night was terrible, probably my worse time in moors in my short history there.

Some disorganized freep raid was trying to defend TR in the top floor/cg room from a big creep raid and the fat kid here got jumped by Wolfgash in the 1st floor. I was almost killing Wolfgash when he obviously hide/ran. Before I could regen, with only 1/3 morale, Spiderbyte showed up and engaged me. Obviously Wolfgash came back and I don't need to tell the rest of that little tale.

After that I got killed 3 times trying to come back from TR rez to TR, 3 wargs (Wolfgash among them) + 2 foes (defilers I think) were camping TR rez.

I got so pissed to the point of cursing and left moors to do some regular pve with kin. My 1st 'rage log'...

A few hours later I was laughing about myself for getting so pissed with Wolfgash. He did what he was supposed to do, live and kill. No rules as it should be in the moors. I would do the same if I could, and it's not personal. Nothing in lotro/moors should be personal.

From that personal experience and reading all the threats here with a lot of drama and out-of-game fights.... I guess moors have that power to really bring the RPG part of Lotro alive, but....

It still just a game, although I think if we all get along too well it will take part of the fun out.

Cheers to everyone from creep side and freep side that don't get along well with me or my kin and my apologies if I ever did something that someone didn't like while I was in my "RPG rage".

PS: I still want to 1v1 and kill that su* *f a b**** warg, Wolfgash. :P

I couldn't agree more Mellar. That must have been after I logged out for the evening. Earlier in the day yesterday I had a similar occurance with a group of about 5 minstrels on the OC side of WTAB, and all I remember seeing was a bright flash and a trip to the rez circle. Made me mad that 5 minstrels had to group together, but after all as you stated "it's just a game". Live and let live...and I will be looking for those mini's....

I had a similar experience with 5 wargs (yes I hate wargs, part of my rpg is hating wargs. hehehe), going from EC to Hoarhallow. It took me a few secs to realize I was dead and killed by a warg pack. Even ganked like that I was not pissed, I was marveled by the perfection of the attack, all 5 must have jumped at the same time to 1 shot me. Of course, after that few seconds, that earned some cursing and some hate to Vic, who was the pack leader. hehehe.

All part of the game.

Like when you jumped me as I was killing the mayor... Shame you both died. I love freeps crying. Makes me stiff.

A suggestion for you Mellar: ignore the trolls.
I've tried patronizing, arguing, complaining, trolling right back at em, and appealing to common sense. None work. Some people argue just to argue, and that kind is more prevalent in MMOs. I'm sure you already know plenty of names, just chock up more on the list and ignore their epeening.

I gave you a perfect chance for a 1v1 last night and you didn't take it. Instead, it looked like yourself and another hunter (easy to kill rank 12) were working together to either ambush me or provide yourself with some backup. I'm solo 95% of the time, so you really don't have to worry about me using dirty tactics to lure you out, just to be ambushed by a warg pack or other creeps. We'll meet again....maybe next time if you want to 1v1 bad enough, you'll take me up on the invite and resist the hesitation of leaving the safety of your freep companions. I don't bite hard......

I had the impression you were jumping any fat kid behind and/or comming from lugz rez. I was note sure u meant to 1v1 until u jumped me and went away. After that I left lame oc camp to 1v1 you, but Seara jumped you. Anyway, you bite hard, don't lie, but I dont mind loosing 1v1 to good wargs. Ehehhee. Next time I wont miss the opportunity.

And no, I was not working together with that other hunter to ambush you. I saw him behind once and I knew u were there, so I came closer to give him some cover. After that he went back to the lame oc rez.
