Does it affect ALL lifetaps including EoB, fierce resolve, resolution, or ONLY the gambit called "life tap" in recklessness. (the spear-fist one).
It should affect all lifetaps. Spear-Fist is actually called "Offensive Strike." Note that it only affects the damage though, not the amount of healing.
Still its a pretty bad legacy cause while tanking you shouldnt care about your dps, the group you're in will do. While dpsing, lifetaps shouldnt be used in my opinion

Its not so bad as a major melee legacy. It will increase all your EoB DoTs by up to 10%. That's not a lot of DPS, but it adds up and you'll be using EoB in any case. The problem is just that there are not good tanking legacies for spears. Once you've picked Threat Up, Shield Buffs, and Parry, there's not a very good 4th choice. I'd go with either Lifetap or Spear gambit damage. Though both of those are very underwhelming.

I'd also put Parry in the group of underwhelming legacies, it only applies to Wall of Steel as far as I know, and that's only a 20 second buff :/

Parry has the advantage of being a good legacy to put no points into. At T1, its a +540 rating. At T9, its only +600. Contrast that with lifetap or spear gambit damage, which go from 1-10%. Basically, parry legacy gives you most of the benefit just for having it, wherease lifetap and spear gambit damage need lots more points poured in before they give the same 90% of max benefit.

That is true, but another 40+ agility from agility legacy will give you a permanent 160+ to evade and 80+ to parry instead of a periodical +540 parry. I dont find it in my rotation often because of the very low buff duration. I already got agi on my mainhand though, but if I didnt I'd scrap parry for pure agility.

Once you have those 3, you get vitality, might, and agility legacy . I also used a will legacy. Works pretty well cause atm i have 3100 power, 15900 morale, 2100 vit, 350 agility (need Thamen boots) and 880 might.

You could always scrap it for Str. That gives you the same permanent +80 Parry, plus +160 Block, though you might already have that maxed. Plus, of course, it gives you a little bit of DPS and Phys Mit.

Yeh, I got parry rating, fist-spear threat and shield duration, vitality, might and agility on my main hand.
