    Minstrel Shields - 75

I've been working on my minstrel for a while now, and i'm to the point that its decently geared to heal in a yellow/blue set up, but i've got this pretty big weak spot in my set up.....my shield just doesn't seem good.....and all the shields i find just don't seem that good.

so I wonder what shields everyone uses as the only? drop i've even seen is the Fornost Healer's Shield, and even that hash't dropped in any of the drag runs i've done on my mini.

    I use this one http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Item...ld_of_the_Bard
Tempered Round Combat Shield of the Bard

It's crafted but I forget where the recipe dropped, sorry.

Hi, im using the same shield for healing on my mini. The recipe drops from ToO t1, can drop of any of the wings. Still not as easy to get, considering it dropped about 3 times from round about 40+ bossfights.

I didn't know about that shield...it IS very nice. Barring that one, there's also the Fated Shield of Theoden (crafted by guilded Westfold Metalsmiths) or the Fornost Healer's Shield (dropped by Draigoch)

I would say don't sweat it. Your shield won't make or break you. I have two that I swap out, one for will/max healing and damage, and one for vit when I'm getting AOEd. I tend to use the vit one a lot more, since the difference in will between them is so minor in terms of tac mastery/outgoing healing.

Just grab the best one you can find/buy and then compare the various different ones as they come your way.

This. Go on AH and look for a lvl75 shield with plenty of will, there a few purple ones which sell for a few hundred silver. The Tempered Round Combat Shield of the Bard is perhaps the most desirable in the game at the minute but the stats are not significantly better than crafted shields, certainly not enough to influence your gameplay.

using Aranthan "Captain shield" from ToO (likely only T2 drop):
    http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Armour:Aranthan

(stats are wrong - actually it has 365 or so life and i think no will)

Only playing ToO raids anymore and there i am decked out on outgoing healing and stuff. Thus i do not any more will and compared to other shields out there i loose some 65 fate and gain like 200 life.

This is what I'm using nowadays. Urdhas-targed from Fangorn's Edge is also very solid and easy to get.

There are a lot of different magenta shields dropping in the Isengard 3 and 6 men instances. All nice, I like them more than Thŕodred's and some even more than Draigoch's.
Actually, the L70 Dunland teal crafted likes me more than the L75 teal Théodred crafted...
And of course, the Fornost Healer's shield from Draigoch, is an option too.

There's a shield from Stangard -- Ally -- I think; purple that has better stats than the crafted teal theo.
