    Hobbit Production video #7

This time it's about the various studios they have built.
Re-ni-AN-nen - strayed (ppt. of renia- 'to stray')
Aeled Reniannen, Defender of Middle-earth ~ Nendhiniel, Forge-Warden : Captain and Wardenette from [EN-RP] Laurelin
Fluffrash, Blade of Barashish ~ Nathraen, Conqueror of Towers : Warg Puppy and Spider Tailor from the darker side thereof
    Faradwen, Swift-Arrow : Huntress from [EN-RE] Landroval

As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

That was serious amounts of cool..! You just have to have respect for a director who is so considerate of his fans as to make production blogs like that. Many many kudos to him. B-)

Awesome as always. Very cool ending!

BTW by now there have been a couple of press previews of snippets from the movie. Mainly to showcase the new 48 FPS tech the Hobbit will be shown in.

Don´t be to discouraged by the naysayers. IMHO it´s a typical case of nostalgia and people brainwashed into the old 24FPS tech as how things "should" look.

Here´s an interesting discussion on "the problem" with links to two samples(NOT from the Hobbit!) recorded at the 2 different frame speeds.
    Same file, pick a link:
    http://pub.lv-up.net/basement_red_fps.zip
    http://www.mediafire.com/?idyttigb48fc290

Now the trick in best viewing the 48FPS sample is to have a screen that does 96Hz minimum. So viewing them on a normal LCD(usually 60Hz) will not look as great as on an old CRT screen that can go up to 120Hz.

I watched the 48 sample on my old CRT at 100Hz and it was definitely much smoother and crisper than on my main LCD screen.

Bottom line, basically ignore what the professional reviewers spout. It´ll all be ridiculously biased.

The sequence with Kiran as Legolas is full of win. I love that little guy. If you have seen him in EE extras, he's awesome personality as well.

    Wheee!
