Attitudes towards Turbine Store 20% inf gain buff, p2w or okay?
I want to find out how this p2w pot/buff is viewed by the community.
It most definitively doesn't enhance your performance in any way, but it does give those with the most money an opportunity to rank faster. You pay to rank. Personally, I have mixed feelings about it.
What do people think about it? I see many ppl using them, mostly freeps(as with the store in general) but also creeps.

There are things more... p2w if I could say.
An exemple : R15 mark or the unbreakable leg.
Those two are more p2w than 20% inf gain buff... because with that, You can loose. With the unbreakable leg, you can win where without it, you would have lost (same for Store R15 mark).

I personally just do my own thing, regardless to whether people have it up or not.
It affects my gameplay / feelings towards that player in no way what-so-ever.
Edit; if anything, it just motivates me to kill the player faster :P
Re: Attitudes towards Turbine Store 20% inf gain buff, p2w or okay?
As with any store item I would say attitudes towards this depends on the player. I like to use this renown buff because I am now totally out of destiny points and I used spend that on the renown buff all the time. I have never willingly used a store pot in EM (I say willingly because when being gang humped by about 7 wargs the other day I popped a store power pot out of sheer panic - needless to say it did me no good). However, if I have spare turbine points I will buy the renown buff. I do not see this as pay to win as it does not increase my chances of winning.
I would also ask whether "pay to rank" is something to get wound up about. Especially with regards to freeps. There is only one way in which freeps benefit from progressing through the ranks now that they have brought in audacity armour, for which you do not require ranks, and that is the brands. Far more reasons for creeps to use the infamy buff.
I have lots of these stored up because a free to Play member of my kin won a bunch from the lottery and sent them to me. So far this year I've barely played in EM so I've shared the love and sent some to friends etc but when I return I won't worry about using them.

Re: Attitudes towards Turbine Store 20% inf gain buff, p2w or okay?
I don't mind ppl using it, but I don't think it should be in the store... and the store shouldn't be in the game...
If you use 6 years to get to r15 without it, you would've gotten there in 5 with it. Honestly I'd say that it's far more "creds/respect/rep" to use 6 years, but no buff. It's doesn't seem like ppl care about that these days, so I suppose using it makes perfect sense, as renown/infamy (and ofc rating) is all that matters.
I don't really get upset when ppl use store pots/brands/buffs either. I don't use them myself, but I can't force others to not use them. I might facepalm though

Each will obtain personal satisfaction and respect from their peers in different ways and by different people. Its a game. Indeed tis the way of things.

I don't care about renown buffs, same I don't care about other people ranks.
But storebrands and storepots are bad for PvP. Are mainly Pay2Win or Pay2Run.

Ai, but you are judged by your actions ingame anyways. Many won't care and will play on as before, rightfully so, but others do care. The community certainly has negative or positive attitudes towards various elements in this game, some are strongly negatively viewed, like for instance ganking at spars, but the rules certainly open up for ganking. If you want to gank, you can gank. The community has certain shared norms respected and upheld by most players, so you can't really "do what you want" without some sort of reaction, either it be a simple grumph or banned from groups.
