Will take place at 2000 (BST) on 10th June, at the Methil Stage, in the Shire.
The 'Ting of the West' is a sort of parliament for all the Free Peoples, to discuss ideas and plans for the defence of the Free Peoples and for taking the war to the Enemy. This Ting has been arranged at the suggestion of Durin's Folk, fully supported by the member kins of the Eldariant Alliance. All free people are welcome to attend, and all have the right to speak, on application to the Speaker of the Ting, who for this first meeeting will be Miss Jadite, of the People of the Shire.
As the hobbits of PotS have the honour of hosting the first Ting, you can expect refreshments and entertainment after the Ting closes.
Good effort on setting up a public event such as this! The company will be there!
"The dwarves of yore made mighty spells,
While hammers fell like ringing bells.
In places deep, where dark things sleep,
In hollow halls beneath the fells."
Truly sorry for not showing up! We had a kin event and honestly i had totally forgot! I'll do my best to remember the next one! How did it go then?

Thank you for the invite, we were honoured to have been in attendance.

A big thank ye to all who turned up and made for a very interesting event. It was grand ter see so many hobbits stop from passing by, ter take a seat and listen - never mind enjoying the pie and music that followed.
Very sorry for missing the end of it. Jet lag got the better of this player, so Nimlith was even quieter than usual I fear.
I took a few screenshots, anyway.

The next one will be held in August, methinks and will be hosted by the Elves. We will rotate with each race, originally stemming from the original event The Dwarrow Ting, for all dwarves.
It was nice to have an in character reason to travel west for a change. *grins*
And yes Lord Taramthir and his folk agreed to host the next one.

This was an very fun event, never did I see so many RPer gathered together in one place, and the matching uniform and synchronize march of Durin's Folk was very impressive!
Although, it did feel awkward to be there as a hobbit, hearing all the non-sense talk about adventure and exploration. :P
After all, if this were a hobbit-only ting, there's would be nothing but idle gossips and the only serious matters of discussion would be should there be carrot in the Royal Shire Pumpkin Pie and which hooligan hobbit-lad/lass are responsible for the string of serial cow-tipping around Bywater.
... I hope no one suspect it's one of ours...

Would have loved to attend, but unfortunately I only just checked the forums!
I'll be sure to check more often, and most definately attend if there is to be another (If you don't mind big folk, that is).
