Seems like BW may have some good sense IMO as far as not trying to change the original mechanics. Because that's basically what happens when people make their codes of conduct.
I did see some complaining about a minni using some skills and saying they don't play fair. Though I know minnis are OP, this never seemed to stop Guards, Wards, WLs and Defilers from using their mega-solo skills to win 1v1s. I just don't believe in gimping yourself. If someone catches me 1v1, I expect them to use EVERYTHING they can to beat me. Because gimping yourself is actually a big insult IMO. And unless you are chatting with someone and know for sure they aren't using those mega skills, then you should use all of your mega skills. This is where all the complaining seems to happen. But no one wants to gimp themselves and then lose after the other guy didn't gimp himself. I know I may sound confusing because I can't find the best words to put it. All I can say is different strokes I guess.
I'll take this info in to consideration when deciding how to go about playing lotro.
To be frank, what I ultimately want from lotro is big equal fights in the open. Like most people do I'm sure. If there has to be some metagaming involved to get it, thats fine by me. Do freeps and creeps work to achieve this? And if they do, how often?
There will be people complaining on every server. It's your decision to listen to it.
"Equal" fights are subjective. Big-time raiding seems to have died off for the most part, at least on creep side. Leaders need to be selective to be competitive and there are fewer veterans around lately. Lately, I haven't seen much response to any big, bad freep raids. There's still a good amount of small group/half-raid action though.
OOFS was the largest tribe of vets in terms of daily population and imo a large driving force in keeping the action going... well, up until a few months ago. I recently came back after recovering from GW2 withdrawal (might need another few months after this weekend), and I've only been seeing ~3 tribe members on at most. If that's any reasoning to why raids have been a little lackluster recently.

Ha, no I'm on a EU server, Underworld, who won 3 lost 3 I think. I am switching to Gandara anyway this weekend, because it's apparantly the unofficial english speaking server. Gandara came 4th I believe.
I'm thinking that Sea of Sorrows is going to have a significant increase in population this week.

they, in their unquenchable thirst for battle and victory, took the same path out to SOP... but they met someone they did not expect...
instead of dying needlessly, good barmalak makes a daring and unfathomable escape from these two hunters, and unbeknownst to them, gets in his long burrow. thinking poor barmalak got in his short burrow even though he literally just used it against them in the first battle of the titans, they decide to wait.
barmalak, knowing he had no chance out in the open (or did he?) decides to call on the help of an old friend and a couple other powerful creeps. once again, the two hunters are slaughtered after an epic, albeit short, battle.

I used to see you pop CD's all the time. Mind you, I guess 125% run speed helps a lot when you're running away.

So just wondering ...We run around with Kin only groups and fight
what ever we come across ..large or small groups or even solos , we prefer the larger groups
but not picky

A major contributing factor to the decline of Brandywine PvP. GG Snow, turning Brandywine into Vilya, grats on killing another server.

Sea of Sorrows is carried by oceanic guilds who can roll servers while NA guilds sleep. But thats ok, we have oceanic guilds too now

dude all the nubs transferred to our server since they released that SoS was the #1 undefeated server from last beta. Fort Aspenwood rolled us and we squared off with Divinity's Coast =(

Zergers, like the jmez/shane fraid that had a froup backing it up to take TA tonight? Can you say overkill? Oh, wait, that's overpower. OPness may be the reason #v#'s are declining. Freeps whine they need more to fight the big bad creeps. (Like RKs whining they need to autocrit every other hit?)

Lotro never has bugs or lag it is all a figment of our imagination and/or our ###### PCs.
The mechanic and graphics might be topped eventually in like 2040 cuz they are way ahead of their time.
Nothing says we care about our community they festivals with the same sweet quests and awesome reskinned horses!
And on the horses as a way to show that they love you what better way then providing said horses (and stuff to make you super powerful) then offering them in the store for low prices!

Since we are speaking in some sort of code where Rs are Ws we have Pwancy, me, Agwo, Fami (doesnt have an R sadly) and several other lotwo peeps as well as some people fwom swtow and othew games. Also we have a gwoovy alliance that we awe kicking ### with.
But all of this is moot because the best game evew is alweady out and those gweat people at tuwbine (who don't use some sowt of Owwellian tactics on the thweads hewe) have pwovided us.

This is all coming from one of the worst players on Brandywine, so I'll take that into consideration.

Yup, and they are. Even number fight is auto loss for creeps, not that I have more than 6 tribe members online at a time as they have kinda gotten over the terrible PvP Iron Rangers has brought here.

The main problem at the moment, other than the obvious inherent imbalance, seems to be that there is an extreme lack of ranked Warleaders to fill the raids.
Today it was a struggle for the Creeps (led by Mere) to find 1 Warleader for each group, let alone the necessary two per group.
I manage to get together ~4 Warleaders for my Tribe 12-mans, but anything beyond 12 and it is close to impossible to find the Warleaders to support it.
It's like Turbine has instituted a new mechanic that prevents there from being any more than 4-6 ranked Warleaders being online at any one time lol
