    Help with weaver class?

I'm playing Weaver on brandywine. People are not at all helpful in the monster play so I thought I'd ask here.

What should I buy first? How long will it take me to get the commendations and whatnot for it? Is there a really fast way of farming? If I leave Gramsfoot and go down even to the slugs I will likely be killed.

Is silver almost pointless to have??

Commies earn is hard way. R0 creeps have rly hard times, you need many commies at low rank. Only one way and only fast way is via Quests. But its rly long haul.

You was killed.. Welcome in ettenmoors.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

    I wouldn't waste your time.

    But anyway...

As a low rank weaver, you're going to have next to zero survability. Don't bother with skins - they're not insane price. Start PvEing. Yeah - it's a PvP zone, but the devs are ######## monkeys who don't know how to do anything right - so in order to get the most comms you'll have to PvE. HH is a good place, but dangerous, as many freeps like to gank greenies there. At night you can pull golloval and eagles to trolls nerby for progession towards Isendeep quests.

Get all the maps. Not only do they provide a good amount of commendations, they help you get around the map.

Money is mostly useless. I used to get food and stun/root pots but that''s it.

Word of Warning - you're going to be targeted quick by freeps. If you still have low morale and 1 audacity you can still get 1 shotted by 3 (maybe 4) freep classes. Your damage will be as bad as a freaver and your CC abilities will be complete #### due to you only having 1 root, and freeps having 7 audacity.

Good luck. You'll easily waste your life playing creepside.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

I recommend that you do not consider buying anything with TP until at least rank 6. By then, you will have unlocked the core class skills, and purchasing the higher ranked skills will make a difference to your gameplay.

The core skills are namely: Paralytic Venom, Web the Earth, Smothering Web, Lie in Wait, and Drink Deep.

They won't make you competitive, but you need at least those skills to contribute something to a raid, for example. Until then, you're better off farming quests solo for commendations to buy them. If it's your first creep, I recommend rolling a warg instead. It's much easier to quest with stealth, you'll be competitive sooner, and you'll get commendations faster.

Skills you might consider purchasing once rank 6: Shadow's Bite (r10), Catch Prey (r8), Shelob's Gift (r9), and possibly Grasping Web (r9). These skills will give you an edge over some freeps, but without the core skills will not give you enough to win consistently.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

First: Have someone kick you in the jimmies. If you like that continue on with your desire to play weaver.

Second: Run outside grams and die repeatedly. If you like that continue on with your desire to play weaver.

Third:If you have always liked poop, and you want pooping on the ground to be the one decent skill your class has continue on with your desire to play a weaver.

Fourth: If you want to play the class with the worst skills from all other classes combined, with no survivability and less range and dps, continue on with your desire to play a weaver.

If at any time you think any of the above just sounds sucky. Don't play a weaver and roll a warg, at least then you stand a slim chance of sticking with creepside pvp.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

Any creep that is below rank 6 has it tough especially post RoI.

PvE for maps/comms/rank all will help you get stronger.

PvE on the empty areas of your server's map during quiet times.

You are a support class until you rank up this is even more evident. Any solo battles you chose once you are around rank 6+ are best with physical classes hunter, burg, champ, cappy and guard.

Roll alts freeps for some tp grind for high rank skills buy on sale.

Roll alt creep warg for stealth to help get comms.

Stick with one main comms and infamy are slowly gained.

I love playing my rank 9 p2w weaver. Yes I bought high rank skills.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

What would make you want to start a new creep? Are you a glutton for punishment, frustration, anger, and pain? Leveling a low ranked creep is quite possibly one of the least fun things to do in this game. There are alot of other games out or coming out soon that are far better options if you are looking to have fun. Unless you live in a Turbine-box, I'd consider a whole different game.

Seriously guys ... you dont think the comments were slightly over the top?

Now that I have presented myself as being helpful ...

    To the OP:
Sadly you really should consider rolling a Warg ... maybe a BA besides laying webs on the ground to slow the freep charges a bit, and some dots don't see much worth in a weaver. So few high/mid weavers that its hard to tell.

    Re: Help with weaver class?

i started when destiny points were the currancy, so it was alot easier. spiders are terrible at pvp until they get to rank 6. after that theyre half decent, id do quests until you rank 4 or 5, buy a few skills and cheap pasives. if your really dedicated to it, you can start 3 creeps and all the coms you make are pooled so you can use all of them on the weaver. i personally like the weaver and id get the skill lie in wait, get a few wargs or other spiders with that skill and its really good for stealth killing freeps at tr rez once they get far enough out. besides that, paralitic venom, web the earth and shelobs gift is the best skills and get a few maps. and if you REALLY want skins, id go with the rank 5 one. hope it helps

    Re: Help with weaver class?

Already some good suggestions posted here, I will probably tell mostly same stuff as others but I'll try to give you some new info . If you like the class and want to continue I suggest you check this link. I've found it very useful.
    http://dailystats.theblackappendage.com/content/weaver

In addition to root and stun pots you could also buy wound and tactical effect removal pots.
Comms require huge gring so I suggest you to pve a lot, get your map deeds done and don't bother to buy skins. Don't buy skills from store that are acquired before reaching r6.

You're going to be very squishy at the beginning and you will also die a lot. I normally tend to charge at freep groups if I have other creeps near me, Mephitic kiss for aoe dot and then just pick a target who you want to kill first, use poison spray for more dots and slow the freeps with Web the earth skill. Many creeps tend to attack after I have died (atleast on Laurelin) and then I just swim in infamy, sometimes I get lucky and manage to survive but I always expect death when I charge.

PS. Always remember that the weaver is cc/debuffer, not dps!
