Since we had that server log in issue because of an unannounced maintenance thing I have experienced extremely bad freeze lag in-game.
It does not matter what I am doing, the game freezes for about 20 seconds then continues as normal. Tried doing Foundry today to see if it calmed down from yesterday and it was worse. Every few steps caused freeze lag for 20 seconds.
I did not have freeze lag of any sort before this little update and now it makes the game unplayable for me, I got no clue as to why this is happening.
When it lags, I can alt tab out and the rest of my computer works fine, so it is not the entire computer freezing up. I also notice when the lag happens my CPU usage goes from about 36% to 3%...My memory is at a constant 60%.
Also I updated my ATI catalyst control centre last night in hopes it would be outdated drivers causing this lag but sadly no it did not fix the problem.
What else am I missing that I can try? I do not want to re-install lotro I am on ADSL so it would take days =\
Am I the only one who has experienced this after the update thing?
same thing happening to me ever since these last few updates...packet loss is always between 2%-20%+, checked my wireless netowrk card and for some reasons the speed (Mbps) fluctuates alot when lotro is open....
I have also been experiencing this sudden degradation in game since logging back on in the evening of June 4th. I've resigned it to being virtually unplayable, and I can't find a source of difficulty in my computer. It just seems to disagree with Lotro.
I made out a bug report but I don't think I could provide much useful detail, and the fact that the problem isn't widespread makes me think there is some specific fault to my aging hardware that no longer proved passable after the recent maintenance. I wont be getting a shiney new computer anytime soon so, for me, it's signing off from lotro I'm afraid
