I honestly wonder why I ever quit the original guild wars, what a waste of time. Over halfway to R14 and only a shabby cosmetic cloak to show for it.
Completely agree and same here. I should have just stayed with the original GW.
$40, $70?? I won't be paying since I'm done with LOTRO; but if I was, there better be a whole lots of content at those prices. I find it sad that beta vanilla GW2 completely destroys this game with nearly 5 years of updates and "add ons".
Yep pay to win indeed. How greedy can you be turbine wth? I was going to continue lvling my champion to get ready for rohan till i read that people who pay 70 bucks get, thats outrageous, uninstalled on the spot. Cant wait till 8.28.12.
Even if this game was $1 to purchase I am done with a game that has taken the fun out of it. PvMP is still outrageously unbalanced and I gave up freep side to play creep side full time until GW2 comes out.
70$ for what exactly? Couple new regions and mounted combat? I can buy 1-2 new games for 70$. Or rather buy GW2 with it. Oh wait, I already did. Kkthxbb
This new "LOTRO P2W" is being discussed with other popular websites iv'e noticed,(how I got here) and they are not the only MMO heading in the same direction, the huge reaction to this is not without credit, but a collection of disapointed fans since this game has a colorful potential and a reasonable reputation. I for one did not buy the ROR expansion since I saw this P2W was being implemented before that was ever in sight.
You should pay: to Look better, level easier, horses, clothing, hair styles, weopons, not BE better, but this of course means they have to pay people to create these 3D items so instead they create consumable stat images to stack cash and take the easy route. I couldn't believe the amount of available arsenal you could have against your opponents if you were willing to throw money at them.
Lets face it, putting allot of time into a on-line game is one thing many of us are more than willing to do to keep up with other competitive players, but allot of time AND money that's one small collection of customers.
This damaged reputation may be hard to reverse since Turbine when turning to F2P have done nothing more than Pi## on there customers backs and tell them it's raining!..
..but it's only a game and there's an abundance of others to choose from that avoid this desperate behaviour it's just disappointing to see a game with this exceptional Title to of even considered this route.
Go ahead and spend $10 or $15 per month like you used to for a year, then use the 6,000+ points you get to buy the content you're interested in. I fail to understand what the issue is here.
