Thread: Does The Legendary Edition Include Everything in the Heroic?

Greetings!
While Comparing the different editions I noticed that while some features that don't change between editions, such as in title are in both Heroic and Legendary Editions, the quest packs, "Evendim, Moria, and Lothlórien Quest Packs" are mentioned in the Heroic Edition but not the Legendary.
Does this mean the Legendary doesn't get those packs?
It seems common sense to do so, but lets face it more surprising things have happened in the world.
It may seem like a small trivial, insignificant question, but I believe that it's a small trivial, insignificant question that needs to be clarified.

No. The Legendary Edition DOES NOT INCLUDE the quest packs.
It also does NOT include the L20 cloaks (which have a DIFFERENT appearance than the L75 ones.)

Do you have screenshots available? The preview tooltips on the "compare editions" listing seem the same.

Man, I'd get a LOT more use out of a set of Level 20 cloaks than I would a set of level 75 cloaks right now. I'm not bothered about the quest material as I already have it - but I would have liked a choice of cloak at least.

While a main char can benefit from level 75 cloak (until he gets better cloak in expansion) most of alts could surely benefit from level 20 cloaks a lot more. Thats 55 levels of use, minus some if better cloak happens on a way.

The pre-purchase is out & I am excited & confused.

By reading the comparatives on the adverts, it looks like one only gets the quest pack additions on the HEROIC edition.

If anyone buys the LEGENDARY edition, please let me know if you get the quest packs as well.

Important to know as a gifty to my kids.

With the ecconomy what it is, I have to budget (like most others) & cannot find out for myself right now.

does not directly answer your question... but I just leveled up an alt on a 2nd account...

if you are on a budget... then since your max level... dont worry about the quest packs... you can always powerlevel them through any areas they get stuck at... but tbh that prob isnt really necessary either as there is so much content that one pass through the game easily gets you to 75 even if your missing quest packs...

Ok, its not that epic, but its still nice to get at level 20 and the cosmetic value is there.

There are better cloaks around, but it would be nice to have another cosmetic option. This is kind of a bummer, but it's not going to deter me from pre-ordering.

Just to throw in an official confirmation, yes, the packs are different. No, the Legendary Edition does not include the same things as the Heroic Edition. Each pack details what it contains on the site. Finally, yes, the Heroic Edition offers level 20 cloaks, but the Legendary Edition offers different level 75 cloaks.

Seems a shame that with heroic/legendary you can only have one thing or the other. I personally would expect the legendary edition to have 'All the items from Heroic edition PLUS.....' Which would mean extra cloaks. I'm also a little disappointed that there aren't any TP included with any edition like they did with Isengard.

alot of lvl 75s have all those quest packs, i bought ROI legendary on half price for 25$ and of the qps i got i had mirk and moria so only got eregion trollshaws and loth(worth it)

Yea, that makes me rethink the pre-purchasing. I would much rather get 3 regions free than 1 extra bag.

I was just about to buy the Legendary pre-order (as I did for the RoI pre-order), but am now seriously reconsidering. The $70 was bad enough (especially in comparison to what was included in the RoI pre-order) but not getting items that are included in the less-expensive Heroic pack...that's seriously lame.

Same opinion here. Compared to what Isengard had for pre-order bonuses, Rohan's $70 (Legendary) is quite bad. Also Legendary edition not containing everything the "lesser" editions have is beyond my understanding. From Heroic's 50$ to Legendary's $70, is that difference in contents really worth $20?

Why are there two different cloaks? I want both. And if I don't get both, the basic one feels more legendary than the legendary.

It's clear Turbine's one goal is money. Game quality / content, customer care and communication, value for money, etc. do not even enter the minds of Turbine's / WBs managers.

As others have stated, the legendary pack should contain all items from the other two packs. Its just mind boggling that it doesn't.

This is just getting more and more ridiculous. Why would the legendary not include the same as heroic? And no TP at all? Unbelievable.

Wait, what about the hauberk? Is that different as well? Before now I just assumed it wad the chest piece of the full set included in the legendary edition. Is that still the case?

I have neither. The Plugin Compendium + Itemscanner is used to document the items and their state.

No, the legendary edition will NOT include the quest pack that IS included in the Heroic edition !

Easy solution to the differences...buy both! Sadly I think that is what they really want...:/

I don't get it.

It really does make no sense. Now I like the cosmetics and the fact that you get a full set with the Legendary version is good, but then again they're not dyeable. Considering all the people who will have and wear the same cosmetics? Not so much fun.

Then there are the quest packs. Okay so I'm a lifer and I have them all, but three quest packs to me seems to be worth more money than an inventory bag. And you have to choose. What about those people for whom the quest packs will actually be useful, but who also want bag space? It's a stupid way for them to have compiled these sets.

For me, I'm seriously considering whether to just buy the regular set. It comes with the account-wide horse and title. I really do want that inventory bag, but is it worth the extra cost? There's very little doubt that it WILL go into the Pointstore at some point, and how much will it be then?e

The lack of ANY points being offered on these packs is extremely unfair. This expansion is now far more expensive than the original game was (seriously - I paid less for my SoA game AND a lifetime sub), and doesn't offer even 500 points?
