The statted cloaks. Does the Top Teir only get the L75 ones, or does it get the L20s as well?. I like the appearances.

With all the bugs lately, my wallet is rather reluctant to open up this much.
Speaking of which, RoI is on sale for half price again if you don't have it yet.

guessing they're trying to avoid what happened with the isengard preorder, since there was pretty much no reason for vips/people that had bought all the regions already to buy the legendary edition.

ummm.... wow..... that is a lot for an expansion.

Hope the expansion as a whole is available in the store for TP at launch and not 3 months later like ROI.

Technically that is not a pre-order perk. That is just part of the actual expansion. only the stuff at the bottom is the pre-order only stuff.

Only the cloak, soldier appearance, and the token are the pre-order bonus

I find it quite disturbing. I am also disturbed by the offer of a current end-game cloak with stats for those that pre-purchase the top tier edition.

Plus a crystal that adds an extra slot to your legendary weapon? How is that not a pay to win option?

And seriously.... I have to spend $70 to get the version that contains an extra bag?

This is a pure money grab there Turbine; not cool at all.

Very disappointed in this all.

I was really looking forward to pre-purchasing RoR, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

$70, wow. It's just a bunch of fluff in that legendary edition. They have lost their minds, that's the cost of a full retail game complete with a physical box and disc. This is just a digital download, and an expansion at that.

Crystal of rememberence is per character, bind on acquire. The store version (not the level limited teir ones.)

If it were part of the expansion itself, it would also be included with the basic editions. That's not to say it's a pre-order only bonus, but it is somewhat disturbing that some expansion content is "exclusive" to the top tier expansion bundle.

There are actually more picture of the expansion's cosmetics and steeds under the "Images" portion of the http://rohan.lotro.com website, if you'd like a closer look.

The "end-game" cloaks are worse than foundry drops, much worse than Draig, and comparable to Theodred's crafted cloaks IMO

We still have no info (AFAIK) about other methods of acquiring the crystal or the 6th bag. I assume we will have them and would LOVE to hear of them.

thinking i might pick up the legendary when they do a half price thing some time and not bother preordering, i got diablo 3 the day it released for cheaper than this (and an actual physical copy). if the prices were the same as what they charged for isengard i'd be more open to it, but these are kinda ridiculous.

Think i will just pick up the extra bag slot when they put it in the store and get the rest when it goes on sale like ROI did. Save my money for GW2

Which items are available immediately and which items are gained when RoR launches? I know the mount is available immediately but I'd like some clarification about the other things.

You only get the one set of cloaks with the top tier, not both that and the 20.

Can you discuss how the crystals work? If you get to pick a major to slot? Or if it picks one randomly? Etc? Can only 1 be used per item when they're eventually added to the store?)

(They exist in level-banded form..so obviously they'll be lootable eventually.)

I second the question -- are there Turbine Point bonuses in these packs?

I'm looking forward to Rohan, but I don't see anything so great that I feel like I should get out the wallet and pre-order right away. Maybe as more details emerge, but you'd think they would have learned something from the reaction to the RoI pre-order.

Well, here's the answer for you: Every special item in those bundles, except for the actual Rohan content and the special War-steed skin, will be granted to you immediately once you redeem your key. That means things like the 6th inventory bag, the steed, the title, the cosmetics, the cloaks, the crystal, the quest packs, the Outrider's Token, and the soldier appearance will all be granted to you now.

Color me completely and totally uninterested.....The only thing that drew me to the packs last time was the TP which won't be included from the looks of things this time around....

I'm sorry at this point I won't be preordering and to be honest I probably won't be getting the expansion until a couple months after launch this preorder has left a rather sour taste in my mouth...

As before, the only exclusiveness will be the preorder bonuses.

Preorder bonuses:

Legendary: Rohan Elite Guard Statted Cloak
A box of four level 75 statted cloaks that allows you to choose a power bonus for your hero type.

Seriously after rising the lvl cap to 85 you expect us happy with cloaks lvl 75? Unless I have a loud and clear explanation of what stats I'm buying (because thi is it: selling stats for real money) this means zero to me.

Legendary, Heroic: The Outrider’s Token
A 25% XP Boost for all characters on your account that will last up to level 75

After lvl 40-50 a pocket item is a drawback, and for the people who already have the Derudh's Stone it useless. It is only described as a "token", lack of specifications here.

Legendary, Heroic, Basic: Rohirrim Soldier on Landscape Appearance
Upon reaching level 20, you can customize your Soldier on Landscape with a Rohirrim Appearance

Seriously Turbine, are we talking about the same Soldier on the lanscape that almost none use because it cost 1500 marks and 75 medallions at lvl 75? The same amount of medallions equivalent to 3750 marks according your currency ratio. I suppose I dont need to explain for like 100th time the only reasonable way to get enough medallions for this is accept group forcing due the lack of rewards for soloers.

And the legendary edition doesn't include the other edition "features".

The L20 cloaks have different apperances than the L75 ones? BAH!


.. That's just insane turbine. Make ALL the appearances available in the expensive tier.

Some questions:

1. The pre-order comparison page makes it *seem* like there is a special skill for the mounted combat avaliable only to those who pay for the Legendary pre-order. Is there actually going to be a skill that is *totally* locked out from those that don't pre-order the legendary pack?

2. Is there a price point set for getting the 6th bag through the Turbine In-Game Store?

Still excited to see what has been done with Rohan!

I am curious about what comes free for everyone, as I remember that with RoI, that was quite a bit.

There are way too many unknowns atm to spend that kind of money for the legendary version.

I would also like to know which perks will no longer be available after the pre-order expires, with RoI that were the cloak(s) and the stone only. How is that with Rohan?

So the devs xpect players to pre-order before they even tell us much specific about the content, charging more the RoI pre-order?
Given the lack of content that RoI came with at release, I'd say I'm not falling for that again AND paying more this time too.

The cloaks don't look that great from the screenshot someone posted. There is no Turbine Points with the Legenary edition this time. I don't see the value of the Legendary edition compared to the RoI one. If it had say 1500 or 2000 TP added to it, it would bring in more sales.

For the people asking about Turbine points, Turbine points are not included but you get an opportunity to purchase 5000 points for $29.99 upon checkout.
