Thread: Cracked Rhi Helvarch Sigil in deposit drop rates?????

Okay ive been trying to get some cash together recently as i want to afford some daigoch scales and they are loads on AH and im not in a kin so getting these are harder than usual but i decided to do an hour or so of farming ore and then selling on the AH. In the process ive been collecting any dropped Cracked Rhi Helvarch Sigil's i get along the way. I was doing well with these finally getting enough to start doing some end level crafting items and selling on AH to as well as the ore. But suddenly "BAM" no drops whatsever in over 1000 ore. Now not being funny but thats mighty suspect to me that the devs have turned down the Cracked Rhi Helvarch Sigil's drop rates. Now the area in question was in Limelight gorge and i know i wasnt getting loads of signals but the chances of not getting 1 in a 1000 ore is huge compared to earlier runs i was getting maybe 1 in 200 tops. Now if this is the case they have turned down the drop rate i find that just god dam rude. I've worked to get those signals as well as the ore by taking my time to do a boring and tedious task and now from the looks of this being stung by some dev turning down drop rates for whatever reason they have decided. If a dev is reading this i'd love to know if this is possible to do and a reason for this.

Drop rates are streaky -- random numbers are like that. But over time, the sigil drop rate should begin to even out in your favor.

I must say I find it very hard to believe you collected 1,000 ore in one hour....but if it could be done anywhere, Limlight Gorge cannot be the place. The resource nodes in Limlight are far too widely scattered, in extremely hostile territory, with regular competition for nodes from other players. Any chance you are exaggerating your results for dramatic impact?

I've crafted over 700 top tier hope tokens and haven't found a Cracked Sigil. After the Great River update, I never saw another one. I've had to use skirm marks to get them.

I have noticed a lack of sigils too, used to be i could farm nodes for an hour or two and get one, but for the past week i have spent an hour or two a night and i have only looted one all week...

Just been running a toon through the Great River set of quests, mining nodes along the way... have gotten 4 Sigil's in the last 3 days, and thats without specifically seeking out nodes.. about 300 ores mined to get them. I was wondering if they had actually upped the dropped rate and that was why I clicked on your post with interest. I will note that I'm much more likely to detour to a rich node than an ordinary, and they certainly seem to drop them more often, so that's probably scewing my ratio of drops, but if your mining all nodes would expect you would at least get a couple.

I'd say your just having a really bad run of luck with the RNG.

I got over 4 stacks of ore and almost 4 stacks of birch, and not one sigil. I haven't had one since the update, so I was wondering too. I hope the streak swings back in my favor. It certainly seems unusual to me.

Last week node farming I got more than 18 rhi sigils. (that's what I didnt manage to use or give away in the course of the week and I used at least 5.) ... and <20 gondorian parchments. (From non-mob and non-chest/corpse sources).

... Ironically... for once the gondorian parchments would have been more useful...

Its always been feast or famine for me. Got 3 in an hour last week. (can go weeks without seeing them as well). They still drop, I believe I got one yesterday.

Incidentally, I've heard rumors these things are in the chests/corpses/satchels... Just got my first satchel rhihivigivi.

What drop rate? I've gone from level 65 to level 75, mined over 1,000 ores and not had a single drop. This needs some serious rethinking on Turbines part. You can't make endgame items you need, because it all requires Cracked Rhi's. I continue to mine between 200 and 400 ores a day and still none.

Drop rate for me seems to have dried up.

Pre-update I could go out and get maybe 3-4 per night (2-3 hours) from ore nodes. Since then I might get one every other day if that.

I hadn't done much Scholar node farming pre-update, but since I have gotten exactly ZERO cracked sigils from scholar nodes (I have 3 stacks(100) of each of the tier 7 mats plus 100 scrolls of insight, 40 of the other scrolls, so you know I have been farming for several days!)

Pre-update I had around 20 sigils:

14 from Ore
6 from Wood
0 from Scholar

Since the update I have gotten more sigils from the lottery (8) than I have found in Ore nodes (7)!

Having said that, I did get 2 in the span of 5 minutes in the Brown Lands, but that was weeks ago...

My experience is that the drop rate is absurdly low and very streaky. Before U6, I leveled two characters through all of ROI, harvesting all available nodes, found two sigils (granted, one character is a yeoman and was thus unable to harvest anything that can drop a sigil ). In the last week or two, my third 75 has been harvesting all available nodes through all ROI zones except Nan Curunir, and I've found four sigils in two streaks of two. The second sigil actually came from the respawn of the same node as the first sigil, so perhaps camping a node location once you find a sigil might help. The first sigil came after harvesting about 300 skarn ore, the third and fourth probably somewhere in the 400-500 range (hard to keep track of how much I've used so far).

Most of my sigils have come from skirmish barter, of course.

Drop rates are random and depends on whether the area has been farmed recently for sigils. In areas with lots of people, I can't get a drop. In areas with few people, I've found more sigils drop.

Drop rate is bad. If you're silly enough to want to craft your armor in this game instead of raiding for armor, then you deserve bad drop rates.

There is a repeatable in isengard where u get to select a box of resources, twice in a row ive selected the skarn box and twice i have been awarded with a sigil.

And this is exactly what's wrong with MMOs. If you don't raid or PvP, you don't get good armor. Nevermind that soloing presents its own challenges (without all teal gear), and that MMOs are supposed to be for casual gamers too, not just people who nothin else.
