I personally think boils down to who's online at the time you ask for help. There is some nice, friendly people out there who dont mind sharing the location of the action, giving abit of advice when needed or throwning you a invite when all you have done is ask where the fight is.

Then you will see someone talk on OOC so you ask again "Hey guys any action" And you get ignored, only to find out that theres a small group of friends killing everything. So i just put it down to they dont want to share any info so they can have all the Inf/Ren for themselves. But then as soon as Poo hits the fan the OOC comes alive all of a sudden.

There is alot of selfishness in this game, there always has been and always will be. Probably not just this game but this is the only one iv spent so much time and effort on to really notice. People of both sides are only after one thing, and thats there own personal development. They will use others to advance, without even a second thought of offering to help others.

I was going to make a big comment on the store pot/shop disscussion but to be totally honest theres not much point in it anymore. Anyone who has commented, moaned, verbal diarrhea'd there soul out over this topic is going to be well and truly cemented into what they believe. So ill leave you with this.

Get a grip and if you cant get a tight enough grip, get even. And by that i mean stop been a drama queen and just bloody spend some of your turbine points to level the playing field. Seriously what are you actually saving them for?

I agree with you on most of your post Ludo, but you weren't there when a kin I will not name, decided to ruin a peaceevent sanctioned by both creep and freep. That, and their reasons for doing it, made me lose most of the respect I had for them. I'm not sure that I in all my years of playing this game have seen more childish behaviour...

But unlike others I've just decided to ignore them....

Not all can use p2w, Ludo, and that's a big problem. Not to mention we shouldn't have to use p2w because we've already paid for the game and many still pay.



Creep ooc is a very talkative and friendly ooc. As a long term creep player, I see no changes over the years other than more f2p kiddies spamming. Creep ooc is from my experience a much more active ooc than the one on freep side but I don't hang around there. Also a very friendly ooc and Reapor seems extremely negative to everything creep. He thinks he is hated, which he isn't.


Also, LW has nothing to do with that other kin. LW weren't blatant exploiters and cheaters, the kin just contained some unfriendly, rude people. This new kin has brought it on themselves, no one brought it on them. I only started disliking that new kin when I saw it gathered the worst exploiters and cheaters in the game, and seemed to praise them. Their leader was a good guy but something happened and Mr. Hyde came out, along with the Tea Party Movement( sick opinions).

They exist on both sides, to be sure, but it is easier to spy on creepside because you can camp in Grams with a F2P account. That cannot be done on freepside.

I dislike them for ruining the event, and attitude about it, thats all, everything else means nothing to me.

I think whatever reasons we may come with regarding freep/creep being overpowered, it shows that the highest creep is rank 13 and the highest freep rank 15 (and 14). From that and lower ranks I deduct that either creep is playing the wrong game, the game is imbalanced, freep is playing the wrong game or all 3. I personally think it's all 3. I don't mind being "underdog" and getting killed more, but something's gotta give to have a fun game.

This imbalance has always been the case, but lately there seem to be some developments making it more imbalanced. What I see now I think is the sign of EM becoming possibly (half-) dead, for 3 reasons:
1- level of raids
2- GW2 pvp upcoming
3- store

First of all regarding the level of raids, apparently there is no replacement for Looptheloop which is a shame. he used to be able to take risks without excessive dying, and be successful in creative ways. Also, I'm sorry Short but you seem to be exactly the opposite of Loop and many creeps are disappointed with a kind of raidleading that is called "farming" by many of us. Also I see a lack in organizing on creepside and acknowledging what works best. If a freep doesn't go down, get those 3 or 4 blight defilers in your raid so you get it done.

Then with GW2 pvp upcoming and with the pvmp in lotro being so imbalanced it seems to be hard deciding to stay in lotro even though you may have a high rank. Combined with the fact that creeps at some point would like to see something new. EM isn't that big and the content there never changed. Nevertheless I'm not saying you'll enjoy GW2 more, for all it matters you play both or keep active in Lotro. But what if it's empty?

Thirdly I think the store is absolute bull. While i think that buying skills is fine, but consumables in my opinion are not done. There's simply no fun in having to chase someone for 3 minutes with an entire creepraid, and it's totally out of proportions. Admittedly these things don't happen that much, but when freeps are "farming" this is used excessively.

To conclude? I think that EM is going to be in trouble. I have to say that I admire the high ranked creeps and freeps who are keeping the game up, because I get tired of it pretty fast .

The one where you attempted to kill the questing BA I was on vent with then proceeded to walk down to dg from the spot you'd known at least two wargs had been moments ago or was that another group? Either way amused me those sets of fights, even more so the response from ooc once it finally made it onto there.

I dont recall seeing a ba at the time. We got to ramp just at enterance of dg and i was buffing us up when i spotted a warg think it was lakfang but could be wrong next min there was a few wargs. Was having a good little battle with you guys till i spun camera round ans saw a horde of creeps coming of the hill.. Should have heard us on vent, what a scream that was.. The wife was upstairs at time and come rushing down she thought i was been murdered for real lol

Thought we had go away when we managed to get on our mounts but you did a grand job of dismounting us and keeping us slowed.. More like that please was brilliant.

I guess there was no spy after all then.... Never heard of a creep spy actually, it's just not as feasible as the other way around, you would have to level a freep in order to spy. And freep players seem to care less about their creeps than their freeps, stats just don't seem to matter that much.
But I'm sure there has been a creep spy or two up throughout the years.


Fewer creep spies due to many reasons:

1: Less feasible, you have to level a freep
2: Ppl playing both sides often care more about their freeps, less willing to risk their rep for a creep
3: The few players of dubious character, who are more likely to cheat, are more likely to go freep side due to the op classes there. Easy is as easy does.
4: A guy spying wants to take a shortcut. Playing creep isn't a shortcut and thus the shortcut player would already have a freep as his main.
5: similar as 1, making a creep takes but 10 seconds
6: Ppl playing both sides are often more involved with kins on freepside than tribe on creep side.
7: Ppl use KIN vent if they play both sides, creating a stronger bond with their freep friends.
8: Certain kins display a complete disregard for other people in this game, being known exploiters and cheaters, and thus are very much likely to expand their dubious play into the field of spying compared to honourable kins, like say Hope & Glory. There are no such tribes in the game, except for the tribes of dubious kins where the players tend to only play creep for short periods.
9: Freeps hanging out in kin vent have a very short way of becoming a spy if they are idling. Most people have integrity enough not to do so, but spying is always just a few words away. Easy access.


Summary:

- Easier and more common to spy for freeps because it's more accessible and potential spies will pick freep as main(no one wanting it easy picks creep).


This is all very general, there's not that many people who spy. If I were to guess based on my experience, the typical spy would be 15-25 years old and male. That doesn't go to say that an 80 year old woman won't spy, but it is statistically less likely based on my extremely empirical evidence.

What?? If I go LCHS means I am there for sparring someone, and u shouldnt attack me at all. I started jumping and not attacking u to let u see that. But you continued so people there helped me. We took south OP, and went back to LCHS. Whats the problem with that? LCHS is a safe area, you shouldnt attack. End of the topic.

Thought we had go away when we managed to get on our mounts but you did a grand job of dismounting us and keeping us slowed.. More like that please was brilliant.

Must have been a different group that was on the BA then, but either way we'd been following you for a fair while wondering what you were up to and yeah, that double dismount was one of my favourites, just a shame the burg made it out whilst we were finishing you

Talking about spars... Does anyone want some now? ^^
