Thread: Gear for newly 75 Mini friend

A Mini friend of mine just hit 75 and I would like to get him some decent starter gear. I need to get his morale up can survive Draigoch and T2 stuff. I hope you guys will have some suggestions about what I can buy/craft for them. I have plenty of cracked sigils. He just started questing in The Great River today.

One option is craft/buy the GR crafted helm and shoulders, then get as many pieces of the Draigoch set in Galtrev as they have medallions for. Then run 3/6 man ROI instances until you can finish the part of the set you can trade for, then run Draigoch. With the shared medallion pool, my burg has that set and he's in a good spot for Draigoch.

Look to get at least some of the Galtrev armour set, it's a great place to start and doesn't take too long to get. Although once geared with it he'll be running more ToO and end up changing it fairly fast I would expect. Foundry T1 and pits are good places to start to farm seals and meds and they drop the occasional decent peice of gear also

Once Galtrev geared look to swap it out with Orthanc gear. Look to get the raid gear for his style of play, as a healing mini i'de be looking at raid1 (thelin) set as the set bonus is most useful of all 3 sets.

Also help him with LG rep. The jewellery makes a big difference to tac mastery, giving you greater outgoing heals %.

75 is really where the fun begins with a minnie, although it can be frustrating trying to find a balance of morale, power and tactical mastery that matches everything, it's likely he will need two sets, one for larger heals, one for more morale (e.g. Saruman).

Personally I see no reason to "upgrade" from Dragon to ToO set as a mini. Have him work on stangard and limlit quests for jewelry. The AH for unwanted foundry BoE ring, bracelet, earrings, and cloak.

I did Dragon in full lvl 65 raid gear, then did Foundry until I had the medallions to purchase all dragon (except ToO helm).

Then Foundry\Roots grind for misc jewelry.

Every item I wear on T2 ToO raids is from the Dragon, Foundry, and Roots Stangard\Limlit rep except my ToO helm and 1st Age book.
