Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
Im trying to beat this cappy who refuses to lose, by that I mean, he deals a lot of dps and take close to no damage. Im trying to kite him, but eventually he catches up to me and yeah...
There is also this warden I dont seem to have much to say against, we had several fights and he won every fight, range, without self-heals, melee etc.. im guessing I wont be able to beat him, but any advices are welcome.
Note: I 1v1 without Moving target & Get a grip
oh, while I have my little thread, Am I wrong in saying that the BA suffered the most of the creep classes when audacity came?Last edited by Witch0King; Jun 01 2012 at 04:52 PM.

If you want to roflkite just strafe in skirm stance while keeping him slowed. If he has Make Haste bonus, slow him again as soon as you can. You can outrun him going straight as long as he is slowed, don't matter if he has slow on you and make haste is still up.

Fairly sure the slow immunity lasts 5 seconds.

Re: Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
Captain;
Fire Trap -- Hindering shot -- Fire DoT -- Punctured Target -- Vital Target -- Punctured Target
Once fire trap expires, drop another hindering & start to kite a bit, if he pops make haste & has coffee on - (not sure if it stacks to 35%) flip 'round and do another hindering & punctured, fire DoT too if its off cooldown. Make haste slow immunity lasts 5 seconds, so after that get back to kiting - drop snares and leg it, flip and nuke - profit.
PS; all the way through this, use Strong Pull during puctured/fire DoT CDs.
Warden;
Slow - run away - go take a shower and pretend it never happened.Shakuru scored a devastating hit on Retarius for 8,094 Scottish damage to morale.

Re: Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
you can keep cappys easily slowed all the time and if he make hastes then face him and pot MT lol :s
wardens are imposible,unless he is might geared and you can fool him on FT which is a bit hard
Punct target is the most expensive and good dps skill we have so i suggest dont spent many corruptions to get -%power cost
I have like 4,2k? and my big problem on these heavy classes is the lack of power

Re: Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
Agreed though, warden's - since they got the 40% mits are pretty hard to fight, if they pop that. Not fought (any?) wardens since U6 due to lack of wardens. However, I'll give a bash at some tactics;
Fire trap -> if he pops DC (40%) mits, keep him perma-slowed & break Line of Sight if possible, after DC has run out 30s? then still keep him at range and pewpew, just gotta hope that his dps & morale pool is lower than yours I think, otherwise its game over.
Could also try, when breaking LoS, if his DC has nearly ran out - placing another firetrap then kiting him round the object and through the firetrap.
E/ ya definately some huge power issues on BA atm, so save some commendations for the 1.1k~ power pots, make a huge difference I feel. - pot them as soon as they will be effective, not when you run out of power too.Last edited by Limmy; Jun 02 2012 at 04:37 PM.

Re: Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
BA slow is -40%, Captain slow is -25% and MH is 25%.
These numbers are not additive, trust me. If they were, then yes, a Captain should be able to outrun the Black-arrow. I have tested this both on my Captain against a Black-arrow and on my Black-arrow against a Captain. When both players are slowed and the Captain has Make Haste active, the Black-arrow has a faster run speed. And if you choose not to believe me, test it out yourself.Last edited by deeman25845601; Jun 08 2012 at 04:42 PM.

Re: Having problems on my BA in 1v1.
also when fighting a captian make sure your not in range for the 10s after uses battle cry, you defently dont want his rotation after that to crit would mean a self buff or heal, may seem like a longer fight then you wish but dot/kiting is most effective vsing capt's. i also have beaten some in keen eye with FT on the floor at my back to a rock or wall, stops them running though you to LoS your attacks and keeneye VT can hit hard, that strat isnt as reliable since capts dps lately has been buffed.
