All sounds in game have somehow lost their natural surroundings. Everything sounds as if I was standing in a huge cathedral. I tried the various sliders in options, but did not succeed.
This happens on my gaming pc (Win7 64bit), where I installed lotro via copy/paste of the lotro-folder. I even succeeded in installing the .net stuff and its service pack, ignoring a warning, that there may be compatibility-issues. May it have do to with this dotnet-thingie? On another machine (win7 64bit and .net stuff) all sounds are fine, tho.
Any idea what I could do to get back the natural sound?

sounds like something has messed up your sound cards settings
check ingame, disable EAX if its enabled, iirc this should disable any environmental effects such as echo and vibe
, also try switching to one of the sofware audio options but the effects may sitll be noticable but to a lesser degree
outside of the game check any software which is installed for your sound card, not knowing which card you have but check for any settings called environmental effects

That did the trick! Btw I don't have a soundcard, just a chip on the mainboard. It's run by a realteck-driver. I disabled the environmentals in the driver's options. Thank you so much for your quick help, Fingerlong!
