Hi, Here's my launcher txt Part 1 since it won't allow the entire message in one message here:

    Re: Lotroclient not responding

The game worked last night, now it lets me login, then stops and I get the big black frame and it then is "not responding."

That last one was you trying to log on when the game was down for an update.

When posting a long text put it in code tags.

Start with the word "code" surrounded by square brackets []
End with "/code" surrounded by square brackets.

    Code:
this is my code in code tags.

Thank you, Hazmat. It would be nice if someone from Turbine actually told me how to fix this.

    Post your Dxdiag output file.

Since a lotroclient.exe not responding issue isn't going to detail in the launcher logs (separate program file/logs anyway) I just removed those to houseclean the thread.

The crash you're seeing is most likely a setting or other option relating to sound/graphics etc that is causing it to close on launch.

As Hazmat posted your Dxdiag (steps how to post this are outlined in the 'how to get help sticky in my sig) so when you can post that but also try this:
    1. Click on the Windows "Start" button.
    2. Then click on My Documents or Documents.
    3. Double-click the The Lord of the Rings Online folder.
    4. Within there locate and rename the userpreferences.ini file (eg. olduserpreferences.ini).
    5. Relaunch the game, log in, but pause at the server selectlist.
    6. Before logging in click the button in the row in the upper right-corner that has the single down-arrow on it.
    7. Choose Options from the menu that brings up.
    8. In there under the Repair tab click to enable the Reset game display settings option and click ok.
    9. Then select your preferred server and launch the game again to test.
At this point if you get the prompt asking about DirectX 10 or 11 graphic mode choose "No" to launch in with the default of DX9 mode.

If you're still crashing after that I would recommend both a tech support request if you haven't already but also posting a dxdiag as well.
