I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU GUYS UPLOAD A UP TO DATE INSTALLATION FOR DOWNLOAD ON THE HOME PAGE SO EVERYONE DOESNT HAVE THE ISSUE OF WAITING FOR 4010 PATCHES LIKE ME, honestly WHAT THE HELL? Dont you guys think a large portion of players wouldnt even bother waiting and uninstall? rather then losing large fan base and players and revenue from the game i HIGHLY URGE YOU TO UPDATE THE DAMN CLIENT DOWNLOAD. THIS IS OVER THE TOP REDICULOUS AND IM KINDA FURIOUS.

Ignoring the obnoxious excessive use of your caps lock key, I agree with the sentiment. Turbine have always been pretty shoddy when it comes to keeping the download up to date.

Yes, ignoring the caps lock, I agree.
I reinstalled recently because lotro was acting a bit funky and figured a fresh install would help. Reinstalling it took nearly as long as downloading it took.

even those my caps lock is not down this time, lol, im glad to know people agree with me. I definitely think this is something that will cause big issues. definately if i have to reinstall i wont be doing it waiting for 4k updates again. ever.

Whilst you may have a valid point, the manner in which you present it leaves a lot to be desired and will usually result in people taking one look and dismissing it outright.

Whoa! stop shouting, calm down. Breath in, breath out. ZEN....
Some of us do a full re-install from the original disks (from FIVE YEARS ago) every update just to make sure everything is fresh, so 4k update files is nothing.
Yours appears to be updating from the last major expansion. Which is highly normal at this point, and which the current update is NOT a paid expansion.
If your client had been up to date to begin with, your update files would have been much less, somewhere between 1 and 2k files. Which ALL of us had to go through.
__<edit> we just had an update to the game a couple days ago, this is what I am referring to... if you had been up to date prior to this</edit>
No company "ships" a game (downloadable or disk) complete, as there are always last minute updates, fixes, additions which did not make it to the Gold Disk version (the published game original shipping copy)
Though perhaps they could add a "published as of xx/xx/xx date on it?)

i posted it in that manner so the point could be driven accross quickly the caps lock is to not point out yelling just importance. Im just glad we all agree on this that turbine needs to update whats available for install so no one has to ache and pain through these updates, obviously they have clients that are up to date and its not hard to create a installation file, 20 minutes of work from a couple staff members and you have a much happier community
