I am currently looking for a new server to call my own. I kind of wanted to research each server on various areas before making the final choice.
So heres my questions:
1. Are there any active kinships who raid Evenings in EST who want a Guardian?(I have completed/lead all t1 and started poking in t2 stuff)
2. Hows the PvMP over here?
Any imput would be great, minimal trolling if possible!
Thanks!

Fuzzywuzzy Wasabear r5 Wargy(RM). Mangos Alamode r3 Defiler (RM and E)
There might be more love on a smaller server but I did same: played Riddermark (when it was new) while it was fun and then went back to Brandywine.
A real alternative is starting fresh and keep your old char on Ridder, it can be fun. Your account no doubt already has a lot of upgrades already, it'll be a breeze.

There are many raiding kins, especially during east coast prime-time. As a guardian with raid experience there should be someone that can use your services.
PVMP is still pretty active but some nights are better that others. NUmbers-wise, though, we have a good bit of action still even though the summer is usually a little slower out there.
I would make a toon on Brandy and look around one weekend and see what you think.
Also, ignore the troll. We've had a minor infestation of noobs seeking attention via ftp trolling accounts.
Active population of the server is 1/4 of what it was 2 years ago. Stay put and wait and see what hapens with ROR, you may be leaving 1 ghost town and entering one that in the process of ghosting.
I think it really depends on why you want to transfer. Larger population? More groupie options? Change of pace?
I have some lowbie toons on other servers and each has it's little personality I've found. Like a previous person mentioned--the best thing to do is to dip your toes in the water by creating a fresh toon to try us out. If you find yourself drawn to us more then it would be a good move for you to switch over. Most classes not just primarily DPS are needed more often than not.
I came to this server originally because I was following a person from another game to try it out after seeing the awesome screen shots of what this game had to offer. As I've tried other servers over time I've found that I like Brandywine the best because of the friends I've made here already and that my ability to group is easier with a larger population.
Keep in mind though, with a larger population, the trolling and idiot population is also going to be higher as expected. There's lots of friendly people here and plenty of people that like to have fun. I'm not much of a PVPer now since the revamp and other PVE options that seem to keep me more occupied outside of Ettenmoors. I would say it's about the same across the board for most servers (especially all the larger ones). Lots of people fussing and carrying on. The typical arguing over why the map got flip all to blue or red, warg packs, burgs, people camping out rez circles, too many freep/creep raids and not enough people on the flip side to compensate, etc. You get the idea.
If you make a low level toon hit me up--I have a couple of low level toons I would love to find a leveling buddy for.
***Oh yes, as another post mentioned that I forgot to also throw in--we are primarily a East Coast server I've noticed. Of course some that never seem to go to bed.

To start off, yes there are plenty of active kinships that want to raid, and especially since you're a guardian with raid experience you should be able to find a group/kin extremely fast. The pvmp here can be good , but also can be bad. Just depends what day of the week/holiday etc it is.

Haha, I know...sometimes I wonder how people come up with this stuff. Just the other day, someone was claiming to be nostaigic for the "old days" when Brandywine had 2000+ people in glff. The only problem was, those days never existed.
Brandywine population is about the same as always.

I have not played in a couple years and I was wondering about the server's population and game play. Your post was helpful as far as pop goes but how is the current game play?.

Sup Oceana! thats kinda funny cause i was thinking of Xfering to here also. Riddermark is getting kinda lame.

To me Brandywine still seems like the old Brandwine. Plenty of people, active kinships and many groups forming all night. When you ask about game play what exactly are you asking about? What type of content is out there or something else?
When you say groups form all night is that including times between 12am - 5am EST?
Well I was thinking primrily easter US prime-time but it seems like Brandy is still pertty busy after 12 from what I've seen but, then again, I am usually pretty tired at that point. I am sure there are some late nighters that could answer your question though.

I realize my query was a little broad. I was wondering about the mechanics such as combat and quest/npc interactions mostly and if they had been changed significantly. After logging in yesterday I see that it is basically the same - which is not a bad thing. However, I am disappointed with PvMP: one would think that after two years Turbine might pay a little more attention to that aspect of the game.
Am I correct in saying that one has to raid in order to get the best gear?

Here's a graph for Brandywine's last 24h population (estimated, based on logins) http://lux-hdro.de/hdro-live-brandywine.php (times are in GMT+2, 6hrs ahead of EST time)
They're the least populated hours but no other server has more ppl logged in that timeframe. BW has a huge population from both the USA and Europe but that's late night in the USA and early morning in Europe.

Cool thanks. Me and some friends have started new toons here and will try out to be sure that we like it. But i like the activity late night so far. When i decide i will transfer at least 1 of my 75's. Should i bring Burg or Champ? im kinda burned out on my Mini

You need seals to get high end gear and I am not sure if they drop from fellowship instances or now-sorry. Someone who runs those could answer that question easily I am sure. I know from raiding that you can get gear from doing the tier 1 raid bosses which are pretty pug friendly. I think you can get seals outsiude of raids though. I am just not certain about that since I mostly raid right now.

Seals drop from 6 and 3 men instances in Isengard and great river (expecially with T2 challenges), you obviously get more of those raiding. 4 pieces of the Draigoch's set are available with medallions only but they're the only pieces you can get w/o raiding even if you have seals. You need to run draigoch for its set helm and shoulders and Orthnac set's pieces are tied to that raid, helm to lightning, chest to Saruman and so on, so you need to run it to get the set.

OOps I forgot to mention that the ToO pieces required that you beat certain bosses and that the Draigoch helm and shoulders came from the Dragon Raid. I guess since I'm a guard I am too busy getting punted around to pay attention.
So yeah you can't get the best gear without raiding but you can still probably mix and match a pretty good set without raiding. Still, everyone should get through Draigoch at least once for the deed since you get a freebie second ager.
You get worked up about anything. Carry on. I love negative rep.
No need to guess. It was me.
And you call that worked up? If you say so. Anyway, with all of the LOTRO forum in front of you you had pick a thread where someone actually asked a question to troll in? Why not leave the Brandywine forum alone and go to the PVMP forums with the rest of the shrieking kiddies?

PS Troll elsewhere please.
I get it, you're all worked about about your lackluster server event and you're taking it out on others with your amazing internet reputation abilities. Keep up the good work of saving forums from all the evils of this world. You're doing great. Don't you hate that you can't rep me again for a bit? I much prefer reddit where everyone can downvote and as often as they like. You should also identify yourself in your reputation remarks. That way the person knows who is being an internet hero. You should also relax on the forums a bit. Roll with the punches and not let someone who likes a different game to bother you to the point where you use your very minor internet powers to try and teach them a lesson.

This is pretty good. It bears no resemblance to me really but I give you props for your creativity. Worked up about my lackluster server event? I have no idea what that even means. The only reason I minus repped you is because you were trolling a thread where people were actually asking questions. I spelled it out pretty clearly I thought. With all of the trolling and arguing going on you could a have picked a better thread to throw out your comment.
Also, when you asked I told you it was me so there was no real mystery there either. Don't feel bad, though, I've received way more negative rep than you and I am still over 4k. I tell ya what, if you behave yourself I will give you positive rep to even it out. I actually give out -rep very seldom. Trolling people that have real questions is a no-brainer for me.
