I'm level 41 and cannot access yet Moria, so I cannot acquire the reward from the festival vendor. Is it obtainable in other ways or maybe it will be available in next festivals? It's unfair to lock the acquire of it instead of just locking the use of it, imho.
If you have the time you can try power leveling to 45 before the festival is over so you can access moria content and get the keg. Or ask someone with Moria access to barter one for you and put it in your house. Or wait till next year
Edit: Come to think of it the level lock must be new, cause I got my keg last year and I was below lvl 40. I didn't enter Moria till the summer. I could not use the keg but I could barter for it. Do you own Moria? Maybe that is the lock?

I own the Moria expansion but I cannot buy the keg. The description of the keg says that you need the "Seeker of Deep Places" title in order to buy it. Since I haven't yet done the quest to gain entry into Moria, I cannot buy the keg.

Are you sure about that? My little ranger hasn't unlocked Moria yet, but she could barter the keg during last year's event, though she cannot use it yet. At the moment the keg is neatly shelved in her stash (tightly closed so that no precious ale can escape).

Well that sucks now doesn't it. How close are you to Moria? I would not want to suggest rushing through content, but if you are level 48 as your sig. suggests then you should be able to grab the quest for Moria. "Seeker Of Dark Places" is acquired when you complete Book 1 Chapter 13 (minimum level is 46 for this I believe)... the quest where you enter Moria for the first time.
That is kind of silly that they would gate a reward. They should do it like they have always done it in the past. You could barter for the item but just not use it until you get to Moria.

Yes, I'm sure. What previous poster said, there is a req. now: "Seeker of Deep Places".
I have Moria, of course.
Well, nvm. I already hate the regions restricted, while just the natives should make a region inaccessible or not. I love exploring dangerous areas in solo, sneaking around, and i went at 15 to evendim, by walk, at 25 i reached up forochel and trollshawn, still by walk (well, by steed ofc). I reached today, really easy at 41, eregion just close the wall's entrance, being blocked there.
I hate being blocked by no real gameplay reason. Would have been better to meet a wall of level 75 trolls, at least i could laugh at them from distance

Read my last post reply to CrimsonGrog. I think you can get the quest to enter Moria at level 46. I understand why you would be frustrated with the restrictions but they have to do it for a number of reasons which we won't go into details about.
If you are a pretty quick leveller you should be able to knock off 5 levels in a very short period of time. You still have a little bit before the festival ends, so I wouldn't rush through anything. Just see if you can make it in time.
You can only enter Wall of Moria instance at level 45+. Just do some quests and once you hit 45, head there and get your legendaries. There are 11 more days of festival left, so you got plenty of time for that.

This requirement was also there last year, but only restricted who could install and/or use the keg. It didn't prevent obtaining the item. "Seeker of Deep Places" is a passive skill you gain at the end of epic Vol2 Book1, when you gain entrance to Moria (as others said, at level 46 or thereabouts).
I suspect the new barter restriction is a side-effect of some recent change ... for Great River or Isengard barterers, to help make sure people don't waste their hard-to-get tokens on stuff they can't use. I doubt they really intended it to be applied to festival goodies, so consider submitting a /bug report.
As others have suggested, just get your character levelled up a bit and complete the first book of Vol2, and you'll be able to get the keg. I think it's a fun item and well worth the effort. Good luck!

Yeah, I got the keg in years past on level 12 characters. Those being the highest level at the time. I did have the expansion at that time. I hope this is just a bug and not WaI. If anything, needing Moria to use one's keg would be another encouragement for a player to unlock Moria.

I would say the most obvious reason the Moria Keg is restricted is to stop people from entering Moria before they've completed the appropriate Epic series.

You never could get in using that keg. Remember, the requirements were always there on using the keg. It makes no sense however to restrict bartering for it.

I know the reasons I just didn't see it necessary to share them. He he. As the person stated above me though... it just makes no sense why they would restrict the bartering.
Gotcha. I've never looked at the tool-tip with a character that couldn't already access Moria. I agree that there does not seem to be a good reason why the act of acquiring the keg is restricted.
