Discussion: movement problems

I have been away for about a month then log in to find movement problems. I usually move using the arrow keys but now when i try to turn right while moving forward, I get a contious beeping like a sticky key warning but with no indication of that when minamized and I can not jump while moving forward. I can turn left just fine and all functions work fine when stationary. Any advice would be most welcome, Thank you.

Do you have an old keyboard you can try? Most keyboards use a rather sketchy method of getting keys pressed at the same time and it can break without affecting single key presses. (Ignore this if you have an IBM keyboard, as they use a "proper" method to scan keys).

Do you have any other games that scan for more than one key pressed at the same time? See if it can get both keys down scaned at the same time.

Since on most keyboards the keys are in sectors, you will have to test the same ones you are having problems with some other app to make sure it is not a LOTRO specific problem.

If it is just in LOTRO.....I donna have a clue.

edit: also make sure you are not pressing more than three keys at once, the least expensive induction keyboards cannot dectect more than that, the more expensive the keyboard is the more keys it can detect at once. Or you can go get a micro switch keyboard and press as many as you like hmmm does anyone still make micro-swithch keyboads?

You can disable the "sticky keys". One of the first things I make sure I do when I change a keyboard. Nothing more annoying when playing MMO's.
