    Question about Monster Play

So I tried Monster Play for the first time in LOTRO and I played as a Reaver since it is the only one I have, and the fist mob I found was 3 humans, I died in 20 seconds, what did I do wrong? Is my reaver too low a level? how do I increase it's level, is the reaver class horrible and I have to use another one? If so, then witch one should I buy?

    Re: Question about Monster Play

leveling a monster play character isnt the same as leveling a normal character ie theyre arlready at maximum level, they gain infamy insted but to do that you need to kill freeps (characters) from the main world

but you will find to kill any free a monster toon needs to be in a group as they are innitialy much weaker than a freep and will only survive in a group, if you enter the ettens as a monster you must group or you will die quickly against freeps

all MP classes are weak, no matter which one you play you will not survive against freeps unless you group. you will stand a better chance against mobs (NPC enemys) but the same as the main world if you pull too many mobs you wil be overwhelmed and die quickly

Cool Re: Question about Monster Play

Starting out in MP as a Creep can be pretty tough and discouraging, my words of advice for a starting Creep....Quest, Quest, Quest. Wargs have the obvious advantage here...Stealth, you can move about undetected gaining infamy and commendations via quests until you gain the skills and traits needed to be an effective, contributing member in a Raid.

Don't get discouraged...you will die on a regular basis @ first.

It always helps if you know someone Creepside that's willing to show you the ropes in-game. If not, do what I did...explore and lots of G00gle searches.

Good luck, and welcome to the Dark side.

On a side note: Creeps do solo Freeps..and we don't always lose. I leveled my Warg to Rank 7 (In 2 months) and have several solo kills under my Paws.

freeps can enter the ettens from lvl40 if your totaly bonkers, at that level youll be way to easy to kill so id advise waiting untill your much closer to 75

the other requirement to enter the ettens as a freep is a subscription (ViP), f2p players can only enter the ettens as a creep

    Re: Question about Monster Play

    What did you do wrong?

Freepside - 1-2 months to max everything out and ready for PvP
Creepside - 3 years to max everything out and ready for PvP

You picked the side that you will learn to be skilled at your class. Why? Because you chose the underdog. Along your adventures you will encounter cowards that pick only on greenies because they have NO skill whatsoever to defeat anything over rank 10. You will die over and over again while the otherside easily 1 shots your companions. Welcome to LOTRO's imbalanced thing they try to pass for PvP.

I recommend spending a month or two questing and getting your maps, and pvping on the side. Once you have all of your maps you can port anywhere you want making all those trips back to the rez worth it because you won't have to run back, you'll just port. Once you start ranking up (very painful at low rank) then worry about ranking Audacity (yet another thing to rank).

You will get stronger and stronger as you rank up, but keep in mind your damage will never match your opponents. You're not doing anything wrong, you're playing the Creepside. You'll be powerless unless you're high ranked. That's the bitter truth.

Don't expect to see any Freeps under level 75 to get an easy kill. They're very rare. What isn't rare are the low rank Creeps that are VERY EASY To kill for even an undergeared Freep.

I strongly recommend joining a Tribe so you can group up more for survival.

    NO MORE LEGENDARIES - This isn't a job, it's a game.
