The last few nights I have been out in the moors it has been an OC camp or a Grams camp. I am not a huge fan of this type of fighting and I don't consider it PVP. I would do anything for some small group fights. I enjoy the whole organized 1v1, 2v2, etc but I am not even really looking for that (but am always up for it). I want open field battles, no npcs, no running, fight to the death (more Braveheart style less fight club).
Stuff like this used to happen on the server even at the level of raid vs raid and I know the server population has dropped, but I have to believe there are still people that want this type of fight. There has been so much rez camping and keep flipping going on I have had nights where I have barely been able to find anyone to actually fight. If anyone is up for something like this or has suggestions on how to make it happen more often contact me in game.

+1 i agree with this....im always roaming trying to find small fights.....and have tried to get 1v1s going when there is nothing else but its been rough no one is ever interested it seems
Everyone is entitled to their way of fighting out there, I just am desperately clinging to the hope that those left on the server don't all have this same fighting style. It is just a matter of getting people with similar fighting styles into the same spot, the map is so big that even if there are a few small groups roaming it is rare to find each other, and in the end everyone ends up in the same spot because it is the only place you can find any type of fighting even if it is not what some consider a fun fight.

The side without a clear advantage has no interest in fighting.
llast two nights could have ben great, first sign of opposition and one side or the other either flipped or turtled. last night yes it turned into 55555 freeps, half of them made up of creeps who flipped the second it looked like it got organized on freepside. we started with 2 groups of 12, it turned stupid real fast. it was there, great raid on raid fighting about to happen, sad what it turned into. not blaming one side or the other, and omg please stop the ooc hate. no hate here even for the people who hate me. i'll fix the grammar latah, typing on a phone smarter than me atm.

Hi Ladies and ad Gents. first off my creep is had to solo with so i wont participate in 1V1s and group fights anywhere but candy mountain turns into zerg fights. the problem with the moors is that there arent enough leaders out here anymore to run the raids, i can name a few but a lot of us that can lead the raids wont anymore becuase of the how does vamp say its like "herding cats"u cant lead a raid with people that dont listen. If more people listened to those of us that know what we are doing then the moors fights would pick up again. At least if people started listening to me I would lead raids again. untill then im done with my creep. the freeps have more leaders then we do.
It is hard to get balance in open map pvp like LOTRO. Last night the freeps were getting rolled early in the night by a group of organized creeps (sounds like about 12 were grouped) 12 people grouped on either side against an unorganized side is in most cases going to win. Last night Freeps had a couple leaders out and they started organizing, it turned out that when they did organize 2 seperate groups of 12 formed up. I am sure there was more than just 12 creeps on last night, but it seems that creepside just doesn't have enough leaders to really counter something like this happening.

That explains a lot. I have a lot of respect for the people that lead in the moors, you are leading a group of people against something that is completely dynamic and have to be able to make the right decisions in order for things to not fall apart, on top of that you take a lot of heat from both sides if they feel you made the wrong decision.
I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to lead something and have 12 people doing 12 different things. I don't creep much but from what I have seen there are a decent amount of people that creep without ever having a level cap freep, which means that they don't have PvE raid/group experience, while PvE grouping is different from PvP it atleast gives you some foundation for grouping (listen to the leader, focus on target assists, stay with the green dots, etc). It would take a tremendous amount of patience to lead in the moors and try to teach a group these basic functions, I am sure it would involve a lot of dying.

Turi...
You shot yourself in the foot by being a flipper. Everytime freeps got the upperhand all of a sudden there was this squishy champ running around. The first and only time I ever grouped with you you said "oh, i gotta go", instantly disbanded the group and flipped.
Get the flipping, the koreans, and spies out and it might be fun again.
Last night I tried to stop the 55 freeps from taking LY. I failed. 1 vs 55. The troll costs 5000 comms-who is going to spend that?
So you still laugh at my posts about flippers? Still think we don't need a cooldown for the moors? What about making comms bound to player-not account?
You say leaders assha? pffft. The supposed "high ranked" creeps would rather ninja isendeep than kill a freep. They won't even kill their kinnnies.
I am always down for a 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3. Just if it starts-stay there! -if you call it out in OOC its "ZERG-on!" for further research on what a zerg is please read here: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/zerg-rush
& yes Zerging was invented by Koreans and they continue the tradition! woot!

Hello ever, you know I like your playstyle, but do not waste more time asking for a change, pvp will never change. A lot of people wanted what you want through the years and look, they quited or transferred to another server.
Just find the way to enjoy the time when you are out there
For Example: The only thing that keeps me alive on this server is to see that fail korean spy cheater run like a chicken from Coco and die at the end

I know your right Coco but, I still love this game and this server, and I can't seem to give up hope that somehow something will click and there may be some good fighting occasionaly.

I don't mind small group... But I prefer raiding. I've been taking the wheel more recently, and since my 4000 comm loss (/shakefirst Turbine), I'm more determined than ever to get them back.
This weekend had many hours of fairly epic 5-18 per side fighting. What people on both sides need to understand is that if your side is underpowered, don't be part of the problem and log. Instead, be part of the solution and FIGHT.
Tell your friends to come out, either creep or freep, whichever needs critters.
When I come out, my goal is to kill creeps, early, often, repeatedly. I don't flip, I don't have a creep. My guessing as to where creeps are going has been getting really good recently too.
As far as coming across 1v1s, 2v2s, etc.: it's not always easy to distinguish. Even when I can, I usually, but not ALWAYS, leave them alone. Just be warned, it's a PVP zone. If you get killed, shrug. Everyone out there has been 12v1 before. If you don't like something, well, you can do something about it.

I have to say i never liked the idea of camping. If i'm in a group, as soon as i see that they're camping, i drop and run solo somewhere else. The same goes if i see that a group is about to turn the map blue (or red). As a freep, i'm usually fine with TR blue, but those guys who go and turn Lugz blue.....don't like them.
I personally prefer small groups of 6 members or less. it's more fun. It's also easier to lead a 6 man group. I admit that sometimes i try to save my ratings, and i think that's what usually prevents people from going all out into fights.
I am learning more as a player and i am more willing to die out there and have a good time. I hope that people stop rez camping and give the other side some space to move around.
i go on vacation in roughly 3 weeks ever and then we can have 1v1s again, but as for the small group fights im not sure what i can do in that regard but ill see if i can help make it happen
1v1s will be fun . I know there will never be real PvP here, too many people worried about rating and not interested in fighting the other side. LOTRO PvP will forever be a game of tag or hide and seek, and there is nothing wrong with that if that is what the majority of the server wants and people are having fun doing it. I will get my PvP fix in another game that is coming out soon, and if that doesn't work will just start playing BF3.

Not having any small group fights is not the issue on this server. I used to think that 1v1s and small groups was the only way to actually have fun in the moors, but my short time on BW showed me that it isnt necessarily the group size that makes it fun or not, there were 48 vs 48 raids going on that were just as intense/challenging/fun as 1v1s are for me. The real problem is the people. Not that I have a problem with the people on this server (well, maybe some of them) but people here just dont try to make PvP out to what it could be. Even though Turbine has turned their backs on the PvP,and pretty much all, of the community here, you can still try to make the best of it if you have nothing better to do (like that other game's beta weekend which was super fun btw for those not in it ). Unfortunately the overall community of PvPers on this server generally suck and so do almost all if not all of the want to be leaders.

P.S. Should I come back over the summer? Idk if it is worth it but Ive nothing much else to do videogamewise until they release the new game that everyone is going to

I definitely have no problem with raid on raid, the chaos that results with 2 huge groups fighting can be a ton of fun and generally results in both sides getting a ton of renown/infamy. PvP is definitely what you make of it and I try to have fun when I am out there, if it isn't working I go find something else to do. I constantly hear the same complaints on both sides, but the catch phrase always is "well I do it because they do it." I don't think there is fixing PvP on this server, bad blood and contention gets passed on to new player pretty quickly it seems. If you do come back I'd gladly 1v1 you and probably lose

"well I do it because they do it."
This is so true, i was suggesting the other day to a group to not camp lug rez because it makes no sense to kill 2 greenies over and over with like 7 freeps and they flame and rage at me haha. The new pvpers seem to care only about points and get a shiny new rank. And is funny how they complain later when they get zerged :S
Concerning small group fights.. i know there are cool and we have a lot of this fights already when i was playing freep more often during the night but is almost impossible now, everytime i log there is a freep raid and no creeps to fight so i am forced to log on creep to try to get a fight and dont do the silly pve to flip keeps.
If you remember when the commendations where introduced we have a GV camping almost all the day all day because the freeps where playing creep to get the new armor. Now like i said, is a freep raid all the time when is not needed... and the best thing is we have tennisran spying and all the people that keep fliping to the side with more numbers to dont get the risk of being killed.
If you want a real challenge and wanna try a small group fight play creep hehe you gonna be exploted in like 2 sec till you get audacity and skills.... and the best part is that you gonna have toons of freeps to fight against
It does seem like creepside is back to being filled with a ton of greenies. Last night we did have a couple awesome fights on TA lawn, so thanks to all the creeps that were out there fighting and thanks to Drak for leading them, I hope you guys had fun too. My kin has tried a couple times to get the fight to move or break apart lately and had some success, it was an OC/rez camp so we went to Lug (there were 6 of us) cleared out the hallway, and stood waiting, eventually we got called out, and after a little bit of unorganized rushes of 1 or 2 creeps, they seemed to group up and push together and we had some great fighting and they finally wiped us, it was a lot of fun. We had zero interest in taking the keep and weren't going to move past the first floor and it took some patience waiting for the fight to come up there but in the end was worth it, unfortunately by the time we headed back the larger freep group had moved up that way so we didn't go back. Things like this don't always work though, and 9 times out of 10 everyone ends up fighting in the same spot whether everyone is in one group or a bunch of small ones.
