Sooooo.. what constitutes enough creep-related experience to tell you that you're still don't have enough of this/that to take on the now Vinlassis-less freeps? Hmmmm?
Will a Rank 6 warg that got tired of warg-packs which constantly steamrolled solo's, stragglers, and small groups suffice? Or that same warg that teamed up randomly, without grouping, to help RenamedGii take down both Treelios and Calennor at the same time(that still remains my greatest moors fight). Hmmmmm? True, that fight happened 'back then', but I wouldn't have been that strong at Rank 6 unless I had paid to win skills.
You, Budhorn, Pouncy, and a whole list of creeps n freeps alike have 'good ol days sydrome' it seems.
But it ain't gonna happen, unless you buy Turbine itself from WB and revert things or otherwise find a time-machine. So go ahead n get over that. It's a game that's constantly evolving. Heck, my mini got one of them shiny new +126 stat items from Limlight today, and two brand-new 2nd agers.. so on a DAILY basis this game changes.
Adapt, over-come, survive. And get over it.
In the mean-time here's some ways ya'll could improve. Drastically.
1. Numbers as a whole... i.e. more than 24 of you screwballs. Might need 3rd party-voice comms to cross-coordinate between leaders.. instead of having to type on /OOC. Unless you got three arms or don't use a push to talk key. But that still don't guarantee that the other leader's going to notice wth is goin' down.
2. Learn who you're playing with. Ask if they've got store-bought skills if they're below Rank whatever ya'll think is too low to be productive. Hell, see if they understand ENGLISH in the first place, or even know how to put their raid-assist windows on. I've grouped with alot of lvl 75 freeps recently in PvE land that were like 'Wow, i didnt know this existed'. And it blows my FREAKIN MIND.
3. Support classes. Ya'll had a crapload of defilers the other night Plokky, which was nice, but I didn't see anyone get bubbled. And if I don't see a bubble, I suspect that there's nobody there to shoot off an ill-timed(for us freeps) AoE rez...
4. Rank and comms.. yea, not everyone has money to throw at the TP store.. so you're going to have to take yer lumps if you've got greenies until they can be more productive. Sorry, but the only way for ya'll to advance is through playing, dying, and repeating. Otherwise it's PvE city for ya'll. Tough cookies. Both sides have to grind.
5. Coordination. If you're knowledgable enough to slap wargs around when they pounce either a guard or a burg, and/or if you know when to root, slow, stun, etc.. then make sure people aren't needlessly wasting their good skills or overlapping them needlessly with fail-sauced focus fire n stuff. Also requires people to be vocal, with like.. a MICROPHONE.
6. Run with 3 target assists on occasion, don't limit yourself to two all the time. I've poked Vinny long enough on this issue depending on how deep into the back end of the creep-raid someone like Erinian goes and all the heavies follow that I've been made the 3rd quite frequently.. you can stretch out your raid verrrry quickly if that person never talks. Sooo.. get yourself to Wally World and grab a $5 microphone people.
7. Target fixation. This needs to be emphatically and regimentally drilled over and over and over again. Constantly. This is something I've learned in air-combat since 1997. Target fixation/tunnel vision will not keep your group alive as easily, and also endangers yourself. I've seen this too many times on both sides. The raid wipes because 4 or 7 people are trying to out-dps over-heals, bubbles or no bubbles.. instead of switching targets.
All of these are doable, some easy, some that take months.. but that's how it is.
And it doesn't take someone with a crapload of creepside experience either to notice what you guys are doing right, and what you guys are doing wrong.. because we're THERE too.
Outside of that Plokky, build some catapults and trebuchet's. You need em.
