Guys, can you continue in the other thread? Thanks.

As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

Don't see why everyone's having a fit about a company branching out and using Social Networking sites.. Because I can more or less guarantee that most subscribers will use Facebook or Twitter for info. Hell nowadays if theres info on E3 Or some such, I usually find out via facebook. Note that it is easier to deliver information this way.
Turbine is branching out in the way it advertises it's game and following updates. There is nothing wrong with this whatsoever, a lot of companies do this, I know my employer does and why the hell not? It reaches a larger audience, ok so a few of you don't own an account and seem pretty adamant that you will NEVER get one, but Turbine isn't going to stop using one of the fastest growing means of advertisement just because a few users are getting fits -.-

You´re not getting the point. They can put their info on Twitter, Facebook or in North Korean newspapers for all I care. But it should appear here as well. That is our problem. I have no interest in having to check facebook, Twitter, Massively and Casual Stroll to Mordor to see if there are Lotro-relevant news.
Which it did. (And seriously one photo is not enough for an article)

Facebook and Twitter actually work, unlike these forums....
I don't use either Facebook or Twitter and don't see that ever changing in the future. Personally I'd much prefer Turbine fix the current game to a consistent playable state rather than spend their time 'facebooking' the Rohan expansion...
I'm sure you already know, but just in case....
The regular people who post here and on Facebook and Twitter are part of they Community Manager Team (ie: Sapience and company) and do not work on the game itself. Sure, the devs post here, and have some have their own personal accounts, but usually they will not be the ones involved in the marketing.
And even if they were, if would be in adition to whatever there normal schedule is. A little bit of fun is probably good for a dev under pressure on a time schedule.
As much as I like seeing them use Facebook & Twitter. I wish they would post more to Google Plus, and of course here. If nothing else, it would be a great addition for Clover to add to the "Free Peoples Press".
I hate that Turbine has basically abandoned this site for posting new information and has decided Twitter and Facebook are the only channels of communication. I actually started a Twitter account just to follow LOTRO, but I can hardly ever be bothered to check it. I don't have a FB account and have no interest in creating one. Don't forget the OFFICIAL WEBSITE Turbine!!!!!!
