    Hunter vs LM

After not playing LotRO for a while, I am debating returning. I had 2 characters at level cap, at the time 65. Which class, between hunter and LM, is more enjoyable for PvMP? I'm most likely to work in small groups over solo/raid situations. When I left LM's were in a solid spot, but hunters were just cannon fodder without a raid. How is it now?

When you want to be successful with the hunter you need top end gear to be competitive, no matter what other people say. You want a chance to withstand highranks? First Age Bow, and top end jewelry is necessary. You need to farm the moors set as well, this goes for all classes though. You really need to get your stuff together before entering the moors. Might take a while.

This counts for LM a bit less since they have class systems like heals that are mainly independent from your stats.

Keep in mind though that both classes are basically light armour and will receive a lot of DMG. LMs tend to build a higher morale pool and there slows are a bit more sufficient and there CC is better than the hunters, so you might stay up longer. On the other hand though the LM is way more complex than the hunter which is really straightforward yet hard to master.

Tough decision. Hunter if you want to deal damage, LM if you want a little more bit of survivability. With audacity out and everyone's CC duration being cut in half, CC is less useful making LMs a little more difficult but still a challenge nonetheless.

If you're a good player and intend on doing grouping/raiding then LM is far better than a Hunter.

Hunter is more gear dependant, and being a new player you may not enjoy it as much for a while. Also you won't have the burst to win many 1v1's untill then and as a Hunter you are always a priority raid target for creeps so will die more often then an LM.

Probably play LM for now, get your audacity to 7. Meanwhile do your boring PvE raiding for your 1st ager on Hunter or P2W some star-lit crystals on a 2nd ager and run some skirmishes for your jewelry. Then you'll be all set to play a Hunter once your LM farmed you rank 7 audacity.
