Thread: Login Server not found

Hi!

My problem is, that when I launch the game, it says 'Attempting to connect login server' or something. It attempts it 20 times, then kick me out with the message: 'Login server not found' or whatever. I tried to login to another server, and it worked well with a few, I only have this error when I try to login to Snowbourn. I have all my chars in Snowbourn, so I really want to login.

P.S.: I accidentally post this here. I want to post it to the main Snowbourn page, and I don't know, how can I move it there. Sorry!

It sounds like you are trying to use an old Codemaster's version of LOTRO. Since Codemasters is no longer running the the European LOTRO servers, that version will no longer work.

You need to uninstall it and install the latest version from the turbine website at http://www.lotro.com/support/download-lotro

All character moves from the old Codemasters accounts to Turbine accounts stopped last November so if you did not move your characters before then they are lost and you will have to start over.

So...

I download the standard resolution file. When I launch it, it says 'error loading settings' or something. The high resolution made the same error. I tried on my notebook too, but the error was the same. I try it on another PC (which is not mine, so I won't play on it ), and as a matter of course it worked!

So, it's clear that my PC is against me, but I don't really know what's the problem. If anyone can help me, please do it, because I want to play !

Oh, and I downloaded the zip file from FilePlanet, but when I want to open it, it says 'broken file'!

Please help me solve this, before I accidentally saw my PC in half !

OK...

So, I finally downloaded the zip file nad install it to my computer.

The problem is still here, and I don't know why. I can login to any other server, except Snowbourn, where I have my characters. So, the only acceptable thing I can do, is make a new character on a different server and wait if something will happen.

Its your firewall who blocks it, make sure its allowed under programs with access to internet.

Thx... But why doesn't it block other servers? And I tried with firewall disabled completely, and it was the same. All the files, that are needed are allowed in the firewall settings, too. I looked up the firewall in my router too, but it was disabled.
