I think the title explains it all. The downloading of the game and installation was fine. It all worked. The game works and I love it but when I log my character out and then quit the game, it crashes. So when I next go onto the game. I have lost my character. Its annoying and I need a solution.
the game sometimes crashes on exit, if your using XP makesure the account your using has administrator rights, if your using vists\w7 try running lotro as administrator. if lotro cant update its files when it exits it may result in a crash
your toons should still be there but the launcher may forget which server you last played on, makesure you select the correct server when you start lotro

Everything works like the updating and the worlds plus I am using an administrator account for my laptop. strange.
