    How about increasing the infamy/renown range?

    So many people complain about things that are used to deny inf/renown like jumping off cliffs and dying rage, why not just increase the range that you get inf/renown if your target dies?

    I say make it so that if you tag something and do enough damage in the calculations to earn inf/renown, if it dies, you should get your inf/renown no matter where you are. It's already subtracted from the person who killed your target and is lost to the void, why not give it to whoever earned it? That would stop all these methods of inf/renown denying that everyone complains about.

    This would require a lot of change in the entire system, i'd rather them spend time on other things.

    How would it require a change in the entire system? It's exactly the same, just a longer range. If they have smart coders, all it would be would be changing a single number in the code.

    As it stands now if anyone in your group does dmg, you get points. Doing what you suggested above would allow people to sit in grams/gv and farm points. You also suggested if you do dmg you get the points, what if someone is healing or near the back rezzing others? This would require a lot of changes to the current distribution system.

    Knowing Turbine's track record if they did this people would get no infamy/renown and have to wait a month to be fixed in the next update.

    You're obviously not a programmer for a living. Even if it was just changing one number in one line they'd have to change EVERYTHING in every other line to fit that new number.

    Whatever turbines using probably predates VB by like 10 years, I've never seen so much junk break after an update except for at shady auto-repair garages.

    Wow, a programmer in training you say? That's pretty impressive. Turbine should hire you. That would probably fix every issue since writing code is so easy for you.

    It's a good idea to extend the renown/infamy range by about 20 metres imo. Back when DP was awarded for kills you got the DP from a much greater range than you did infamy.
