If I get this: http://www.amazon.com/The-Lord-Of-Ri...bxgy_vg_text_b Will it include a prepaid 30 day card? I'd like to make sure first. Follow up question: after the first 30 days expire, which VIP benefits stay with characters created during that month? Thanks!

yes the boxed edition of SoA will give you 30 days of game time and nothing else

there are quite a few items which you will keep after you downgrade to premium, some items are only unlocked for toons logged in during your ViP time see this thread for full details
