So, I am hoping I didn't read the tool-tip wrong but it says "STUN IMMUNITY" for the duration of the gambit does it not? I am blue traited and I execute Shield tactics and end up stunned while the icon is still sitting up in the left hand corner under my portrait. Am I missing something? Or does Turbine have a different definition of "Immunity" than I do ... is it only partial immunity (that sounds stupid even as I type it but considering I am getting stunned while the gambit is in effect I have to even ask the stupid questions.) I filed a ticket cause to me that seems just broken. Not to mention that using the Battle Preparation doesn't always activate the gambit. Is anyone else having an issue with this?
Looks like the signatures are broken ... All of my craft skills are maxed.
Are you sure you're looking at the right icon? The actual immunity effect only lasts for 10-15 seconds but when you activate Shield Tactics you also get a debuff "Cannot get stun immunity from Shield Tactics" that lasts 30 seconds.

The stun immunity itself lasts between 10-20s (I forget), after which you get a cooldown that prevents you from using it again for 20-25s. The immunity does not last for the duration of the tact mit buff.

Right ... I am looking at the correct icon. I have executed it enough times to look for it and hover the mouse over to make sure it was the buff and not the debuff. TBH I don't know why there has to be a debuff period. You still have to slip it in between gambits ... and if anything stuns are handed out with such frequency in this game, the chance to evade is a huge plus. However, I am finding myself stunned *while* the buff duration is going.
So, it's the same icon for buff and debuff? Cause I see no difference ... kinda looks like a tree against a green and blue background? I guess I will have to not pay attention to fighting and just hover over the icon and see what it's doing. gads ... why not just make the gambit stun immunity and not have a stupid debuff period? What nonsense.

The gambit makes two buffs:
Shield tactic: tactical mitigation - this lasts 1 minute
Tactical sound - This gives stun (if traited, daze , and knockdown immunity too), for 10 seconds (cannot be refreshed), at expiration places a new buff (tactical sound immunty), which disable the warden to protect himself from stun permanently,
!!!the 2 buffs have the same icon!!!
This done because: (my opinion)
1- some wardens begin spamming these gambit (which giving omly a small mitigation buff, until we have strong B/P/E buffs
2- devs dont want wardens to be able to solo (ofc tell me if anyone have done this) Dragnákh T2
I haven't noticed any issue's however I never time it right to get the immunity off when I can actually use it either. Most combat there is no way to know when the stun/knockback is happing so your guessing .. and I seem to always guess wrong by about 10 sec lol
A) There can be server-client communication problems that result in stuns still being able to sneak through if you just fired off ST, or if its very close to expiring when the monster tries to stun.
B) There are some monsters with stuns that are "immune to immunity", so to say, but of course normal trash monsters shouldnt have these

Only place I use it consistently is in Foundry when tanking Gash, he uses the ranged stun when you move to far away from him. So when you have the eye or are moving for fire you can use it to move to safety without stun.
I noticed the same thing when I got this ability, but in my instance, it was just a matter of me thinking something was a "stun" when it was actually a knockdown, so you may want to check to make sure the effect being applied is one of the things you're supposed to be immune to, rather than checking to see if the buff is up.
It may be bugged for you (and me too, I don't use it often enough, and when I do, nothing ever tries CCing me anyway), but that's just my experience with it.
Like others have said: make sure it wasn't a knockdown you were receiving, because

I have to add- you have to be traited (4?) deep into blue traits for it to include being immune to all kinds of stuns. Knockdowns daze stun etc... Most stuns in this game are uneffected by shield tactics immunity if your not tank traited. Shield tactics is still pretty worthless as an SI skill imo. its just too damn short and a gambit with an effect cooldown makes me feel sick
Are you sure you're being stunned? Afaik it only gives immunity to stuns, and you can still be dazed or knocked down.
It has worked as intended on my wrd atleast, never noticed any problems with it..

I would say this is the issue. Most people see "Stun Immunity" and they assume that they are good to go. Stun Immunity from Shield Tactics will not help again knockdowns or anything. There are certain bosses in the game that do not do stuns but just do knock downs so Shield Tactics would not help you at all in these cases. It is still quite handy in some situations though... especially when a Lore Master is not present. The first two pulls in RoF for example are crazy for stuns. These are actually stuns I believe too, so popping shield tactics at the start of the pull can really help.
