I just made a new warg, and I have to admit, it's LOADS of dun even at r0. Just wondering of you guys have any tips for me? I bought the traits for 55% stealth run speed and +4 stealth level, and the one where I do shadow damage instead of common. That's all I plan on spending TP for, just wondering if you have any tips on how to play, what skills/corruptions I want, etc. I read the monster manual and the Art of Warg. Any packs on Slode that could help me in my warginess? xD Also can someone tell me how to do quests for my maps as fast as possible? I hate Moors quests with a passion, and since I need them as a warg, I wanna get the questing over with as soon as possible.
1. Get all your maps. Being stealthy and being able to instantly transport? Profit.
2. The first two corruptions you want to get are definitely Health for Power 2, and Health for Damage 2. The next four can be 4x tact mit, 4x physical, or a balance, or 4x crit. (Though 4x crit doesn't seem to be worth it). 4x damage(Mastery) is really used when Wargs are rolling in warg packs and don't need to worry too much about survival.
3. Mostly all race traits are good, so those don't too much matter for me.
4. Class traits easily would be enhanced stealth, shadow damage, and armour boost. The others you can kind of try and tweak them to your playstyle. Enhanced sprint is also a really commonly used trait.
5. If you can buy Flayer, get it. It really helps you survive at lower ranks. But Shadow is better for all around gameplay. A good rotation for shadow is pounce, sudden maul, rend flesh, eye rake, and claws. Try to get off positional as much as you can. (Mouse turning if you know what that is).
6. I'm not sure which skills are terribly more important to others...maybe Disappear will be a good bet. Though your two silences really help against tactical classes (Dire Howl Aoe Silence and Throat Rip).
7. As for maps you want to get TA and TR mostly. Lugz and Grimwood are secondary while Isen maps are usually useless. But get them all, because you get nice comms from the deeds. (500 for crude, 1000 for poor, 1500 for good.) That will REALLY help you get your traits/corruptions/skills.
8. Check this out http://dailystats.theblackappendage.com/content/warg
The most ones you will use are definitely TR and TA. Lugz and grimwood you will use some. The only time I use the (crude) isen map is when someone says reports freeps in grothum.
500 x 5 = 2500 commendations
1000 x 5 = 5000 commendations
1500 x 5 = 7500 commendations
So that's 15,000 commendations just from the map deeds. Of course, considering you'll have to complete quests to complete these deeds, there will be much more commendations gained. So these could help you reach a good level of audacity, fast.
EDIT: I'm not sure what advice to give about quests. There's usually a freep or 6 in HoarHallow, so I'd watch yourself there. Isendeep is without doubt the longest map deed, but there's 2 quests, where you have to collect 20 feathers and kill golloval. At night, the bears turn into trolls, and you can simply pull the birds and golloval into the trolls and kill golloval much quicker. As a warg, you might want to Hips and let the trolls get a decent amount of aggro, and then start attacking from behind for more damage.

Actually there's four you can do.
Get The Troops To Isengard you can do, the quest where you turn in 20 Grimwood Kindling, the quest where you kill Golloval, and the quest where you turn in 20 Sun-Touched Eagle Feathers.
The Get The Troops To Isengard quest is a little weird though. If someone does it before you, you have to wait like 15-30(Not too sure) minutes before the quest giver shows it again, but you definitely don't have to wait for Isen to flip blue and back red to get that quest. Once you do it, you have to wait for the dailies to reset.
The g1-18 keys on my g11 keyboard didn't show up in the options as keys to bind so I needed to create macros for each skill/consumable. I prefer to have each key execute one action instead of stringing skills together. I also bound the 'X' key to autorun 'C' to frenzy & 'V' to the 10s consumable brand. Vent is my 'Z' key and the character panel I changed to 'Ctrl+C'.
Everyone finds their own way on whats best for them on arranging skills and traits. If you find your not using all of your skills to your best potential then remap them a bit.
Save hips and sprint for denying freeps kills and thus points, they really hate it when a warg doesn't just lie down and die.
...Or save disappear for getting a second guaranteed stun and waiting out bubbles/burn hot. Perhaps using sprint to catch a mounted freep or closing on a hunter that caught you in to open.
They really hate it when a warg they though was fleeing comes back to bite them in the ####.

You forgot Damage for Power Rank 2 and Damage for Health Rank 2. Both traits are better than Mastery.

You bought the two most basic traits, the ones you actually need to be able to play so you are off to a good start. Get rank 1 as soon as you can and get Shadow stance. This will boost your damage output quite considerably (although at rank 1 you will still be hitting like an arthritic octogenarian). Buy your skills as and when you can. With the way the Commendations system currently works you will likely find that you can't buy all the skills for a given rank before you are onto your next rank though.
As for corruptions; I'd suggest trying to get some of the morale ones as soon as you can. Wargs start off with relatively little morale so boosting that will do two things: it will make you survive a little bit longer and b) it has a psychological effect in that if freeps see two creeps they will most likely target the one with lower morale first.
The Mastery corruptions are also worth getting as they will give your damage a boost.
As for 'how to play' ... that's a big topic. At your rank your best bet is to do two things: get yourself into groups and try to pick off the weak during group fights. For the former join any group that will have you. A warg pack will be better for you 9and more realistic I suspect), but don't be picky. Any group that will have you gives you the opportunity to gain infamy and comms. If you can't get into a group just look to see where people are fighting and try and pick off the freeps that have taken a pounding.
I wouldn't bother trying to solo much at rank 0. You are not going to have a serious chance of soloing a freep until you get a few more ranks or the freep in question happens to be weak sauce.

Although his view is that said corruptions are only really worthwhile when grouping as a warg, as opposed to running HfP/D2* and 4x mitigations as the bread and butter solo build.
But yes as a damage build my preference is HfD/P2 and DfP2 with 3x masteries. However, the highest damage you can get from corruptions is DfP/H2 and 4x masteries.
*Read as: Health for Power/Health for Damage Rank 2.
Thanks for all the help guys. I have yet to find a warg pack on my server, but I have joined raids and stuff. My usual rotation is pounce out of stealth, the claws, maul, slow, then pounce again when immunity is down. I repeat that till I die or theY die. I really don't care about rating, does that matter? Also I get comms quite easliy on my reaver, so I can supply myself with comms, I have enough for shadow once I get to rank 1.

If you have 5 stars you are a coward. Some people think that because they have 2,000 rating they're awesome, but they're just a coward. Burgs and Wargs are the most famous of having 5 stars.
Just... don't join warg packs. Honestly. It doesn't improve your skill level at all. It's just "lets find a light armoured solo target and hips when a few more freeps come". Heck I've even seen 6/? LFM Warg pack when there are zero freeps in the moors.

Joining a warg pack can be very useful for you. You can ask the other wargs for advice and tips on certain issues and situations and you may even make some new friends. It's also good at the lower ranks for actually being able to get some kills. Now as you can see in the quote above some people instinctively don't like warg packs and think they're useless, etc. That's up to them, but if you want to join a pack then join a pack. Don't allow anyone to dictate your play style just because they don't happen to like it. It's your game too and you are entitled to play in the way that is most fun for you.

If burgs grouped with numbers of 12 and carried on farming you because you're solo, would you say that then?
Oh wait no, you have sprint and hips.

People don't like large groups of one class, it doesn't just apply to wargs. They wouldn't like being rolled by 12 minnies, hunters, LMs, or BAs either. Warg packs have their uses, just like every other group composition that the 'Moors has ever seen.

My point is that wargs just wait in stealth in their group of 6+ waiting for a lone freep to come down. Any more come and they run away.

There are two points to make about this: i) I don't care and ii) I don't care. Now I realise that that is really just one point, but it was important and I felt it had to be said twice.
If 12 Burglars choose to group up and go around ganking people that's their choice and they have as much right to play that way as anyone else does. It's their game too after all. I do have a number of options to respond though:
i) I can go to the forum and tell other how they should and should not play even though it is ineffectual and I have no right to do so.
ii) I can log off and wait for a better opportunity to arise.
iii) I can join a group to fight the Burglars.
I usually opt for number 3 there and have had some fun times doing so. I realise it is infinitely easier to simply criticise others and try and impose one's own viewpoint upon them, but I personally find it more rewarding to see such things as challenges and opportunities that I can profit from.

I'm not the best warg, but for sure Shadow Stance is uber vital for the DPS warg with all attacks acting like they hit from stealth with +damage.

This is the worst advice I've ever seen.
Warg packs learn you LOTS about how to play. You meet other wargs, you get advice from them and learn from them, you get to learn how to move around, you get confidence. The BEST thing a new warg can do is to pack and learn, since you can't really see other wargs unless you're grouped with them....
Also, 5 stars is not the same as being a coward. You, sir, need to stop dictating how other people should play, we all got our styles of play. Some find it fun to get high rating, others don't care at all. It does take some skill to make 2k rating, and it's an achievement, just like a deed. Something to stretch for. Most ppl like to set goals and achieve them...
DON'T EVER listen to advice from this guy, he's clearly a warg hater and only wants you harm.

Too much gristle for my liking. And the constant pouncing often toughens that area further. Best if cooked slowly over a low heat for several hours. Brush liberally with your preferred BBQ sauce. Enjoy.
