Movie studio Warner Bros. has purchased the domain name Injustice.com for $7,500 through Afternic.
This is one of those domains with many uses, but that the owner must have known could end up being the title of a movie or game. It’s kind of like Invasion.com, which is in Sedo’s Great Domains auction this week. However, Injustice.com has a lot more commercial uses than Invasion.com.
It doesn’t appear that Warner Bros. has any announced movies named Injustice. There’s a documentary about class action lawsuits by this name that’s gaining steam, though. Perhaps the movie studio has bought the distribution rights.
There’s one more clue in the whois record that suggests and entirely different use. The DNS records for the domain have been set to ns1.dns.turbine.com. Turbine.com is owned by Turbine Games, a Warner Bros. company that hosts Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, and Asheron’s Call.
I guess that throws Harry Potter Online out the window...
We don't know that. I was the Bunny in charge of Warner Brothers. Wanted to misdirect people. I put the domain name in an odd place for confusion sake. It is a very common trick when buying physical property like when the school I went to NCSU wanted to expand its Central campus. They bought the lots in one direction via a bunch of shill owners.
None of the owners in the targeted area knew what was going on until NCSU owned 85% to 90% of the square footage. At which point, NCSU asked the City, County and State to force the rest of the owners to sell at reasonable prices based on what had been spent to get most of the land.
Of course, it COULD be a Harry Potter MMO where the launch name is Injustice just like Shadows of Angmar was the name for LOTRO launch package.

Edit:
But you do have a good point. With so many MMO's out there, they'd be crazy to create an MMO unless it had a marketable IP to back it up.
I really can't see some MMO named "Injustice" being popular unless it was completely different from any other MMO already on the market.
There has been rumor that it will be "Mafia" related, though. But, seeing as Paramount owns the rights to the Godfather series, I don't know of any other "mob" concept that would be plausible.

There was the time when Lucasfilm was shooting the Tatooine scenes for Return of the Jedi in a California desert, and all the crew were wearing T-shirts reading "Blue Harvest," which was being billed as a new horror film.
Meanwhile, they were talking about eventually making a Star Wars film called "Revenge of the Jedi." When they (much later) came out and admitted that the title was going to be "RETURN of the Jedi," a lot of us said, "A-HA." Because it gave us a big fat clue that turned out the be correct.
As I've said elsewhere, whatever Turbine does next, I shall certainly be interested in (at the very least) looking at it, testing it if I'm given the opportunity. (And my next questions would be, How much does a console cost? And where in the hell would I put it in my overcrowded room?)
Yeah it's not like WB is a multi billion dollar company owning not only game developers, but also movie franchises and many other things... if they register an Internet domain, it MUST be related to Turbine, it's can be otherwise!

Plus Warner Brothers owns more than one gsme development company. I suspect this will be a Snowblind game.

On a side note, http://www.harrypotteronline.com used to point to the WB Movie page, now it just times out...Same thing the Injustice page did before it came up.
