    Trying to Learn PvMP

I recently went into the Moors for a little PvP experience with my level 48 Champ and was crushed. Should I wait until 65ish before trying it? Most of the Creeps were all 62-75 and slapped me around. Can you actually adventure in the zone without being max level? How exactly should I start out? I already went in the starter area and completed a few intro quests with meeting various npc's but would really like to start doing some PvP quests.

You should most likely wait till lvl 72-75, preferably lvl 75. Most likely if you go to Moors at any lvl except 75, Creeps (especially wargs) will target you first.

Not sure what you meant by most of the Creeps were 62-75, because I am pretty sure all creeps are level 75.

You can go out to moors, but you probably won't be able to do much at all. I wouldn't do any of the PvP quests unless you have another max lvl Freep helping you out.

But of course, I am a Creepside player. Just giving my 2 cents from how I view it on Creepside. All the players I have seen in Moors that went before reaching 75 were creep targets.

Wait until 75 and you have good gear. You know those creeps that are always on the forum saying they love a challenge and hate how freeps EZ-mode? Yeah, they love to pick on the lower levels first.

i never quite understood why the pvmp zones change with level cap.. but they still send you out at 45? for your introduction quest.

I wonder if they could make it so you can choose the level range you wish to pvp in.. 50, 65, 75 etc... in a few months its going to be 85 and dead again... crazy turbine duds never thought this stuff through.. ooh well ;p

I would just add that you could PvP now by rolling a monster player, affectionately known as creeps.

Because that would involve thinking on Turbine's part.

I will say, however, going out at 40 is still fun. You'll be food for ezmoders and not likely to do anything but die in seconds if you get caught, but there is a fun level of excitement trying to do the available quests and discover the map so you can at least see if it's red or blue. Chef and I would go out to open the map and explore on our alts wanting to see how long we could survive. Surprisingly, it's pretty easy since the majority of freeps and creeps all camp in one spot. Roamers are often few and far between, sadly.

The level 40s mini-raid I was in once was still hilariously awesome.

Otherwise, yeah, wait until at least 70s and still be prepared to die. Audacity gear (PvP gear) is pretty key out there. Being well geared in general is. Though nothing beats skill and practice. A good thing to do from now until forever, spar spar spar! Spar everyone you see. Every class. Even various levels (within reason of course). Ask your fellow champs for advice. It's not as exciting as PvP and you gain no physical reward, but it's good practice and preparation.

Thanks for the information. I was mistaken in the earlier post, the Creeps were 75, some of the other creatures (Trees/Slugs) were level 62. But I must say it was fun running for my life and exploring the zone

    Lol

And yeah, do not come into the moors until you are level 75 and at least decently geared.

    Or I'll eat you

    Pfft.

Go out with bad gear, underlevel and learn early on that PvP death is painless, constant and funny. Have some fun feeding ezmoders. My latest freep is garbage and it's frustrating as hell, but it's still amusing to go out and suicide into the creepballs, especially when they are hiding in NPCs.

But yeah, success best found on level, with at least decent gear and practice. Spar! Spar!

You'd never eat me, Akara. <3

You can always have fun in the moors as long as you don't care about the 99999999 wargs hunting you down for easy infamy :]
I started moorsing(?), uh, pvping on my toons at lvl45-55 when I needed a break of questing.
