Thread: Role playing on the Gladden server

I recently started doing (and learning) role playing. Unfortunately I have found one person so far on the Gladden server who role plays. So I was wondering is it just that I haven't run into them or is it that there aren't many role players? My character is Gollumaddicttwo if you ever see me and want to rp just start and I will be happy to do it with you.

I'm no RP'er, but I would think your name may turn other RP'rs away. I would expect to people to be more interested in someone that actually used appropriate racial conventions in their character name.

First you have to find a nice name which sounds realistic from this age/world.
Gladden aint that big on RP, but I think there are some, try /joinchannel Glff & ask if there are any roleplaying kinships or any kinships that have RP as an activity. Unless you knew bout glff on pre-hand, here is a warning, Ignore the trolls there, there are a lot of them on Glff!

ok thanks for the advice. KalimniHFC the reason I have the name that I do is like I said I recently started rp which means when I picked my name I didn't have rp in mind. But now its too late to change because everyone knows me by that name in the game.

I also rolled on a server with little to no RP originally, but ended up playing on two servers. If you find no RP on Gladden, I recommend rolling on Landroval and/or Laurelin (with character name(s) that are more lore appropriate :P ) and checking it out there. I play on two servers pretty well, it's not too bad.

thanks for the advice laire. I have been considering doing another server as well for rp. maybe if you rp you and I can do it sometime. Any suggestions for a rp kinship on the landrovel server?

I've found many a role player in Bree, even on Monster Player that carried over to Freepside. Role playing isn't my thing, but it shouldn't be too hard to find people if you advertise in glff/regional and so on.
